These were wonderful three days spent on Skye at Egroeg.

Calm and peaceful on Waternish peninsula, best views on the sea and the Outer Hebrides, far away from the tourist coaches in Portree.

Nigel - he is the man: delicious with his breakfast, caring for his guests, knowing about best spots on the isle and beyond, funny with subtle humour.

Thanks for everything - when again on Skye, we will come back

Cheers,
Judith+Philippe

We loved our very short stay and Egroeg, which we bumped into by accident! My group and I were lost, and it was very late and dark and Nigel tried to help us find where we were going. It was very late though so we ended up staying with them. We had a very comfortable stay in their very modern, very comfortable place, absolutely amazing views, and not only did we have a delicious breakfast with fresh bread from the local bakery, Nigel even helped write out detailed instructions and a map on how to get where we were going. They totally went above and beyond to help us. Very kind genuine people. Much appreciated!

Nigel the host was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. It's difficult to imagine a nicer person. The standards of cleanliness were the highest. We had to take our shoes off before entering, so the floors were spotless too. The cleanliness makes you feel feel more comfotable there. Guests are made to feel important and are given a great service. Nigel is very efficient and makes breakfast for whatever time that you request. We had had breakfast at 8am and he'd already made another guest breakfast at 5am. This is despite the previous night helping us until 11pm.

The location of the house is perfect with brilliant views from the rooms. You can watch the sunset over the sea.

Thank you so much for your help Nigel and for a memorable stay. If we come to Skye again we will stay at your B & B.

We stayed at Egroeg in June and "nipped" over to St KIlda. We found the accommodation of a fantastic standard, the most helpful host and excellent breakfast.
Would highly recommend staying there - beautiful place, excellent restaurants nearby and a view to die for.

We had a wonderful overnight stay with Nigel and Sue who went out of their way to give us local information and to make us feel welcome in their lovely home. Beautiful quiet location, breathtaking views (even in the rain), well appointed room and a delicious, plentiful breakfast.

Oh my God! I don't know where to begin. We never had such an B&B with that location, views and most of all...the Host. Nigel is surely an angel. He knows how to entertain, how to take care of people and has the best information on things to see and do on Skye. Lovely and wonderful! Thank you very much and hope to meet you again some day. We had such a great time at your place.

We stayed here with family at the end of May and had a truly awesome holiday. The weather was fabulous and the property provided a comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean base from which to explore. It’s situated on the beautiful Waternish peninsula with all the benefits of the tremendous views and nearby beaches; however, Portree is only a (particularly enjoyable) 25 mins drive away because the roads are great and not congested at all (unlike mainland). The lounge area has great views for sunset and the bedrooms (downstairs) are appointed with excellent quality furnishings and linen (including mattresses). Recommend the walk to Oronsay island at low tide and the small but beautiful beach on the connecting spit - we all had a refreshing dip. Thanks to our host Nigel, a most helpful chap.

This is a lovely B&B on the northern side of Skye. The house is amazing with a clean contemporary style. The rooms are spotless and modern very modern.

Nigel is extremely helpful and accommodating. There is a beautiful view of the bay and sheep right across the road - we had fun watching the lambs. Nigel cooked us a special vegetarian breakfast that was delicious and had lots of helpful hints and advice on what to see and do during out stay.

Nigel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and we very much enjoyed our time here. I will definitely return if I come again to Skye and I highly recommend this B&B.

Egroeg is about 2km from Stein slipway - about 35-40 minutes walk, or just over 5 minutes by car. There are limited parking facilities at the head of the slipway. Egroeg has three rooms available - one is £95.00/night and the other two are £85.00/night.
