Booked a night at Bryn Melin based on reviews, and we were not disappointed. Lovely hotel, lots of attention to detail, and a brilliant location. Fantastic breakfast, watching birds on the feeders including woodpeckers... Nice little bar, knowledgeable owners... All in all, a great place to stay, and would wholeheartedly recommend.

We very much appreciate your review and are so glad you picked up on the details. Over 6.5 years we have addressed most of the 'obvious' issues and done extensive refurbishment and so in recent times we have begun to focus more on the little things and it's so nice to have someone notice them. so thank you. We hope...

A lovely place to stay. David and Heather, are extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. Our spacious room, (number 3), was spotless and had excellent views overlooking the bay and the bridge. The breakfast was of the best quality and kept us going for most of the day. Would highly recommend to anyone who is considering staying here.

Thank you for taking the time to place a review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and happy that one of our dog-friendly rooms was available for your stay. We have three rooms that we will allow dogs into and they are very popular. Many places seem to have stopped welcoming dogs so we are happy to...

Wow - what a find! Bryn Melyn was a lovely place to stay and has spectacular views from the bedrooms and terrace. Heather and David were very conscientious hosts and our rooms were well appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and we especially loved watching the birds (and other wildlife!) from the breakfast table and...

There is something about Barmouth which seems to get under the skin and draws people back again and again, so it is not unusual for us to have someone staying who had roots in the town. We are delighted that we were able to make your nostalgic visit so enjoyable and hope that now your wife has been back she...

Booked 5 nights B&B with optional dinners. We can only find superlatives to describe our experience. The guest house is high above Barmouth with wonderful views. We had the top room with the best outlook. The room was spotless as was the en-suite. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows and blankets (not needed). We slept well. Breakfast left nothing...

Thank you for your review. Living here all the time we see it in all weathers and have learnt to appreciate the drama and mystery of the landscape when it rains, but we always feel bad when visitors who are here for a short stay don't see it sparkling in the sunshine. We are delighted that you had such a...

Thank you for posting your review. You mention that you booked well in advance - this year in particular we have seen quite heavy booking for quite a few weeks ahead so I think you were wise in booking the room as far ahead as you were able. We were lucky enough to stay for 2 nights at Bryn Melyn Guest House and we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were so clean and had everything you could need. Breakfast was of a fantastic quality. The owners of the guest house are warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Had a lovely weekend. Our room had a fantastic view ( room number 6), very spacious and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've stayed in. The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty to eat. Will definitely be staying here again.

Thank you for your review. I'm especially pleased you found our beds so comfortable. We replaced all our mattresses with memory foam last year and it seems to have made an enormous difference to our guests. We've gone from two or three complaints a week to maybe two or three a year! What's more pleasing are the number of spontaneous...

This small hotel is very well run. The rooms were extremely comfortable with wonderful views of the estuary and mountains. Breakfasts superb and a comfortable lounge for a drink at the end of the day. Especially lovely is the Welsh whiskey. David and Heather were very attentive and supplied plenty of local knowledge. I would highly recommend Bryn Melyn.

Thank you for your kind review. People sometimes ask me what the difference is between a hotel and a guest house and my answer is always "staff!". I suppose we do offer many of the facilities that you would find in a small hotel but here there is, by and large, just my wife and I running the place. It's...
