We stayed here for two nights as we were in need of a getaway. The inn was quirky, with all the usual that come with history - sloping floors (made us giggle but weren't dangerous) and sash windows (didn't affect the temperature of the room. We were greeted by Simon who was so welcoming and we felt as if we...

We loved how quirky this place is. The food is lovely, especially the lager battered cod. The live entertainment was "interesting" to say the least, not our taste but ok. We were a bit worried about noise in our room from the entertainment but it was minimal which was great as we had a very early start. All in all...

There are limited choices for food in this sleepy town, and we decided to have dinner here one night. Orders are taken at the bar, and there was quite a long wait before the food arrived. The food was not bad, but it was quite average. Prices are reasonable, and there was free wifi, and the staff was friendly.

Stayed here for The Royal Welsh, excellent location, so quiet, but easy to walk into town, easy to find, fab food and such friendly, helpful welcoming staff...will recommend to friends and hopefully see you again next year.

Well what can I say DON'T BOTHER. We ordered three roast beef Sunday lunches. The meat had that much fat on it we just couldn't eat it and when the vegetables arrived in a soup dish there was enough for one person. No extra gravy and salt and pepper served in Saxa pots. It was disgraceful for the money we...

Our 2nd visit here and it has not disappointed. Booked an hour before we arrived. Very busy but staff really friendly. There is music on a Saturday night. Food simple but really good. A good place for touring other areas nearby.

The staff are friendly and helpful, but the place itself is tired and worn. Rooms are small, pokey with barely enough room to stand next to the bed. Our room was just above the outdoor smoking area and the window didn't close properly, so there was often a trickle of cigarette smoke into the room. The inn often puts on...
