The landlord Dave and his staff obviously love their jobs! The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious. A good selection of fresh home cooked dishes, and very reasonably priced for extremely generous portions! Would definitely eat here again if we return to the area.

We found this great little inn towards the end of a walk. Not only did we find some delicious and much needed beer, but we also received a very friendly welcome, and decided to return 3 days later for an evening meal. We were very impressed by the quality of the food. I don't think I have ever tasted such...

Booked a table for 6, on arrival table was ready with my name on (nice touch), had no starters but main course and desserts were excellent, very good servoce from the bar and the waiting staff. highly reccomend if your in the area and want a good meal at a reasonable price

The food is delicious and the portions are huge! There is a good range of choices, and as a vegetarian it is nice to find somewhere that doesn't put mushrooms in every single veggie meal! The staff are helpful and if you have an allergy or a food intolerance they will do everything they can to find out the ingredients...

Great pub food with decent sized portions, together with good choice of beers and very friendly land lord and staff, together with friendly locals. Dogs allowed in back bar. Clean and tidy. Very recommended to visit. Nice sun trap front garden as well.

We were looking for somewhere to eat and came across this little gem walked in and was made to feel welcome ask if had a table for 2 dave the landlord said it would be about 21.20 no problem I said he took our order and we sat down they were spot on the time the food was amazing the...

Went here for a meal while staying locally for a overnight break. Made to feel welcome from word go, owner was honest and welcoming, food was incredible and great value. Spent 2 hours here and flew by. Great hidden gem with great food.

We poped in for evening while on holiday best decision in a long time the food and beer were firs rate I had the 16oz t bone it was rare and succulent if you are in the area and hungry pop in and try it you won't be sorry

Have been to The Trout for Sunday lunch, absolutely lovely. Last twice have been for evening meal with family and the hospitality, atmosphere and the staff are exceptional and the food excellent. T-bone steak, best ever. Lovely 😊

Booked a table over the phone Dave was very friendly and helpful with advice for the best time to eat.Good selection on the menu board.We had starters and main meal couldn't find room for a sweet.It is well worth the money,Very welcoming staff lovely atmosphere.I would recommend the Trout inn.I will be back very soon
