Stayed here recently and Peter (the owner) could not have been more obliging. The rooms are comfortable and the food is fantastic (I can recommend the full Welsh breakfast for a real treat). We are planning another trip to Llanwrtyd Wells soon, and hope to stay at the Drovers’ Rest again.

My wife and I had a lovely meal.Service was prompt and polite. Lovely intimate atmosphere. More expensive than pub/restaurant grub but for the quality it was well worth it. We be have been before and will do so again.

Dropped in here for a quick drink but, liked it so much decided to have a simple Ploughmans meal and was really pleased with the food, how it was presented and the service. The weather was a bit cold and damp (very surprising for Wales in September!!) but we still sat on the balcony overlooking the river and spent a...

Visited early evening and the food was fresh, tasty, and well presented. A lovely bistro restaurant. The waiting staff were young, pleasant and smiley but were not attentive at all. They did not notice we wanted a spare spoon so I stole one off the next table - this is in spite of them coming in and out of the...

A last minute cycling break in Wales and on arriving at the Hotel we received the warmest of welcomes closely followed by a pot of tea and cake! Peter (the owner) was a great host and housed our bikes safely inside as well as carried our bags to our room. Dinner at this place is always fantastic and Peter didn't...

As a cyclist, this was the very best place I have stayed. The food and room were excellent. Nearby are the most most beautiful Welsh hills and countryside. The food is of the highest standard, as is the service. After a day's riding I felt the warmest of welcome. This included safe storage of my bike within the building! I...

What an amazing surprise, the owner and staff very friendly as you would image. Once inside your eyes feast on the awards and décor of this beautiful restaurant. A special lunch turned into an amazing meal with added extras. A wide choice of menu, and I have to say you can see why there are so many awards for this...

Cycling club stayed here recently and couldn't have been made more welcome by Peter, the owner. Rooms were clean and tidy and the food both at dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Excellent facilities for the bikes with safe storage and even a pump and a few supplies to make any repairs needed.

We stayed here on a cycling weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Peter the owner made us feel very welcome, with tea and cake on arrival. We were given bike storage within the building downstairs. The rooms were spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. The food in the evening was fantastic and great value, breakfast was superb too. I'll definitely be...

This place absolutely exceeded our expectations. We booked a last minute trip to a hotel up the road, and wanted to venture out for food. This was one of the few places serving food late in this small village so we went here more out of necessity than choice. When we walked in the staff were very welcoming. The place...
