This was our second visit to this Arts and Crafts inspired house. We stayed again in the Rene Macintosh room with its wonderful views across the countryside and complimentary decor. Roger and Kate seem to have thought of everything, what a treat to relax in the private bar and library after dining out in one of the towns excellent restaurants....

This is a truly wonderful and unique hotel, from the easy relaxed check in, the lovely ambience of the place, tasteful period decor, to the tasty and wholesome breakfasts and charming personalities of the owners, Katie and Roger. Everything about it is first class. I'll definitely be back at the next opportunity.

I stayed at this hotel overnight whilst away with work. The hotel is set back in time but in the nicest possible way. The period furniture and decor make for a great experience. There is a guest lounge with honesty bar, games, pool table and massive library. There is a breakfast room and lounge. I was in a superior double...

A massive thank you to the delightful hosts, Roger and Katie who gave us a lovely warm and friendly welcome when we arrived at their gorgeous house. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for just one night whilst visiting a local company. Great welcome, complete with coffee and lemon drizzle in the billiard room. We asked to swap to a room with a bath, and this happened without any problem. Really friendly, knowledgeable hosts with lovely kids. The property is lovely, and we had a good size room and everything we...

We stayed a night on our way to a family wedding further north. We absolutely loved the countryside and the accommodation was second to none. Roger and Katie were extremely welcoming, the bedroom was extremely comfortable and sleeping in Egyptian Cotton sheets was sublime. The home cooked breakfast was more than we needed. Roger made a delicious lemon drizzle cake...

Ardwyn House was amazing - we have a great one night stay - but I wish it was more. A lovely bedroom and an very large bathroom, very nicely decorated. The House has so many features, we had a bottle of wine from the bar, we play chess in the Libary and had a wonderful night sleep. Breakfast was fantastic...

This place is a real gem! Beautifully decorated and furnished, reasonably priced and spotlessly clean. Katie and Roger are perfect hosts, kind, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. (Their children are delightful too!). We arrived late in the evening to be greeted with hot drinks and homemade cake! The breakfast menu is extensive and the locally produced food deliciously...

My son (7) nailed it when he said, "It's a pity Daddy couldn't get time off work to stay with us in this 9,000 star hotel." Stayed here for a night to meet up with friends and walk in the local area. Ardwyn is outstanding in so many respects - from the hosts, to the beautifully appointed rooms and the...

This was our first visit, but certainly won't be our last, with easy parking, we were very impressed as soon as we walked through the front door, on arriving we had a very friendly welcome from Katie who made us feel right at home, after a short tour we were shown to our room....room 1, and we were very pleased,...
