We loved it here. The owners were away and the B&B was being run by their daughter Becca. It's a beautiful house and the rooms are comfortable (the beds are so cosy that we both slept better than we do at home). The breakfasts were delicious and generous. Becca was a great host and it made for a happy, welcome... More

I stayed at this bed and breakfast for one evening to attend a local wedding. It is a charming Edwardian residence with extremely friendly and accommodating hosts. The room furnishing and decorating was excellent value for money. I have stayed in 4 star hotels that couldn't match the quality of the room I stayed in. I was offered a lift... More

I chose this Guesthouse for the annual cycle tour which I do with my Brother, mainly as it was in the right location and the price and reviews seemed good too. We were both blown away with the quality overall, the large bright dual aspect room which was very well fitted out and had very comforatable beds. The shower was... More

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago on our way North, and were very pleased with the experience. The Woodlands is a large Edwardian house set in a well kept garden just on the edge of Builth Wells. It has all the bases covered: a friendly welcome, well-appointed and comfortable rooms that were spotlessly clean, a guest lounge, plenty... More

The winding shrub lined drive has a wow factor of its own even before reaching the elegant house with its tiered lawns and views over the surrounding countryside. Inside many of the original features have been preserved. Our hosts during our four-day stay, Rob and Eileen could not have been more welcoming or friendlier. Our room was immaculate and the... I stopped at the Woodlands guesthouse two weeks ago for a weekend on a cycling trip. The Rooms where good and the breakfast was excellent. The location is good with it being a 5 minute walk to town with plenty of places to eat. For the price I couldn't fault the place. Hoping for better weather next time as it... More

This is a competent guesthouse within a moderate walk of Builth Wells town centre. The landlady is cheerful and efficient, quality of accommodation and breakfast good. Though the busy A470 is nearby, it is partially screened by trees and we were not bothered by traffic noise. Rates are reasonable given the quality, and we would be happy to stay here... More

The family that run this bed and breakfast are great hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they treat their guests like honoured friends. Great breakfast and lounge with huge television. The location is close to the town centre and easy to find. There is plenty of parking. The bed was comfortable and clean towels every day (which is not... More

My husband's family come from around Builth Wells and we were on a nostalgic trip for him. Our choice of BandB could not have been better. A warm friendly welcome and an amazing breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend.
