Well located to tour around and come back for the night. I was there over the past weekend with some friends on motorbikes. The standard of the hotel is good, clean and friendly. The staff all had a smile and a good morning for you. Breakfast was fantastic, hot and freshly made. One day it was buffet style but this...

Myself and my dad have stayed twice and on both visits we found the whole experience a complete pleasure. The staff could not have been more helpful and Ali the owner was so hospitable - even getting up early to do our breakfast so that we could get away early for our Bargain Hunt day!!!! (yes we actually met Tim...

Room was good for the price, Phil behind the desk was absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us, but the owner/landlady was unbelievably abrupt and rude. I would not stay here again because of her manner and attitude. We asked for the breakfast to be made hotter and were told 'it has only just come off the grill' and...

This was recommended to us as the accommodation at the Royal Welsh Showground was fully booked. We were not disappointed: friendly, great location, comfortable clean rooms and a generous breakfast. And extremely good value - in fact, cheap compared to most B&B's! We would definitely recommend this and plan to stay there again next year.

We were in Builth Wells for a car club event and 35 of us went to the Greyhound for a Saturday night meal. The service was very friendly and the food was well prepared, locally sourced and fresh. It was also very reasonably priced and the bar prices were excellent. Good home cooking in a pleasant atmosphere

Booked in by a friend. It is what it is.... value for money rooms in a convenient location. Beds are comfy and bedding is clean and tidy. Decor is tired (think 1980's wall paper and borders) peeling paint and squirley carpets.... plumbing to be expected in an old building -- ie noisy! Door to room locked from inside but we...

Very convenient for the Showground and with adequate parking. Bar very friendly and comfortable for a get together, most people were sat outside on a beautiful evening. Room on second floor which meant quite a few stairs, as no lift, and only view from window was of chimneys and walls. That said the room was very clean and had all...

This is a great place to be based for exploring the area. The food is exceptional, the beer is reasonably priced and the rooms clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, Ali is a gem who is a great advert for Welsh tourism.
