During our Nova Scotia tour we stayed in several motels/hotels in this price range. This Super 8 is clearly one of the better ones. The reception was staffed by friendly staff. The lobby is also cozy with comfortable armchairs in front of a fireplace. The room is clean and functionally furnished. The breakfast corresponds to the general standard in this class. When the drinks machine near the reception swallowed money without releasing any goods, the amount was immediately refunded to me at the reception and I was told where another machine could be found in the building.
The proximity to the highway is another plus point for this accommodation.

Perfect location for our needs, far enough but not too far from Halifax and the starting point for our Nova Scotia vacation. Ask for a room on the other side than the freeway side and you will be rewarded with a view and quietness.
So why only three points?
I´m not a friend of carpets in hotel rooms (has something to do with hygiene) and "our" carpet was decorated with some interesting, unidentifiable "additional designs".
The air condition and the shower curtain smelled like musty water (we were able to turn off the air con at the expense of the temperature, but it was worth it but we could not get rid of the shower curtain). So every time we came back into the room we were greeted by unpleasant smells.
And one minor thing: I love pancake machines - if they are looked after and cared for. The machine here seemed to be hiccupping, but after speaking three times when another error message popped up, I accepted the situation (no pancakes today) and sat back and watched the show. I didn't want to make myself a nagging idiot either. That said, while we were still in the breakfast area, the person assigned to look after the breakfast walked past the machine three times, ignoring the error message (which I'm attaching here). So a little more attention to detail would be nice.
Nevertheless and overall solid Super 8 standard.

Stayed for one night and it was wonderful. My teens really enjoyed the pool area. All of the staff we encountered (front desk, housekeepers, etc) were very professional and helpful. The breakfast was nice and fresh, more options would be nice but we were overall satisfied. Also would like to mention the room was extremely clean! I really appreciate that this is not an easy job and appreciate that fact that it was done so well :) The only issue I have is the beds were described as Queens but felt more like Doubles. This was our second time staying at this property and we will definitely stay again.

Stayed overnight whilst visiting with friends. The room was standard. The TV was not working upon arrival and it took staff 3 tries but they finally fixed it. There was no body wash in the washroom, however, after calling the front desk, they replaced it. There were only 3 pillows so had to call for the fourth. And at $190/night for the room, according to their website, breakfast was included. What a joke, youghurt, apples, toaster and pancakes (machine not working) was all that was included. No eggs, bacon, hash browns etc. It was embarrassing really, they should take “breakfast included” off of their website. We won’t be back at this price point.

Room reeked of marijuana odour. Hotel manager initially reluctant to provide replacement room. Initially explained that there were no replacement rooms. When refund was requested, a replacement room was suddenly available, and provided although with a very unpleasant attitude. Lamp shades dark stained- absolutely disgusting. Rooms not very well insulated. Be prepared for a noisy environment.

I stayed here for 1 night.
The Good.
1. The location is handy to the main route to South West NS. There are fast food restaurants and supermarkets closeby.
2. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are good, with lots of towels and a good shower.
3. Service was efficient at reception.
4. The free breakfast was quite limited, but it had good coffee and muffins.
The Bad.
1. The rooms were very dated and had a terrible combination of colours and styles. Brown and orange bedspreads, green walls, and black and white photos are not a great idea. Pick a style and go with it.
2. The furniture and general decor were very dated. This place would need a revamp.
3. The hotel is close to the highway and the soundproofing was not great as I could hear trucks rattle on by. The floors are pretty thin, and I was woken at 6am by the person in the room above getting up.
Overall
Not great. An ok overnight stop. Please fix the decor!

The room was disgusting. Both lamp shades were completely stained and the AC unit was full of mold. Holes in the walls from something previously attached or mounted that were never plugged or covered. We were put in another room that was different type than we originally booked and were not offered any discount or compensation.

Great hotel, fantastic staff. Will be back for sure. The housekeepers and all of the staff do a great job of looking after the guests. Everyone I talked to were helpful and happy to help. Any time I'm in the area, this is where I'll stay. At a fraction of a night in Halifax, I might just stay in Windsor if I have to be in the city.

The room was pretty basic. The bathroom and walls had some holes patched up recently, but the plaster isn’t fixed yet, and the spackle isn’t done either. The beds were clean, though. The lighting in the room is terrible. The bathroom was just alright—not much to rave about—and there was a friendly spider chilling in the tub. The towels are also super thin. The heating unit was super loud, like an airplane taking off, and it kept turning on and off all night, no matter what we set it to. There was someone living in their car directly outside, with an extension cord plugged into the side of the building near the side entrance.
For the amount we paid we expected much nicer. Thankfully we were there a short time.
Unfortunately there are not many options in the valley.

Although there are not many choices in the area this hotel needs some upgrading. AC units in each room are noisy and the breakfast choices are limited. Just time for a make over! Contact with the staff was limited due to covid.
