Our family came here for two nights and it was a really great place for a stay. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The small kitchen was a real bonus. The TV got tons of channels. We really enjoyed our visit here.
Went in July for ladies weekend and just spent the last three days here with my granddaughters and girlfriend. So clean, affordable and close to the beach! I highly recommend it here. Disabled room was amazing as my girlfriend has MS and a bad back.
Wow another great stay here. Staff is friendly, room clean and comfy. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nice quiet atmosphere. BBQs for your own use. Close walk to the beach. Close walk to our favourite place to eat Catch 22 Thanks again!
Highly recommend Oasis By The Bay. Where to start.....the rooms were perfect. Very clean and welcoming. Our room had 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and a lovely sitting area. Had such a homie feeling. The beds were soft and comfortable allowing you to have a great nights sleep. The motel grounds were beautiful even in March. I can only imaging how beautifully would be in the summer months. Oasis By The Bay is located within walking distance to the beaches. Great restaurant and convenience store just next door. Oasis By The Bay is fully accessible. Please ask about their amazing tours and special accommodation. Very impressive. We will be returning.
Close to the beach (although our visit was in November, the view was nice). Check in person was very pleasant and helpful. We were able to park directly outside our room which was very convenient. Was set up like a small suite with a couch, table and 2 chairs, TV and a kitchenette with fridge (we weren't expecting this so it was a useful bonus for us), and a separate sleeping area. Very spacious and clean (the main reason we booked it was the reviews indicating how clean it was - we've had some less then satisfactory experiences in resort motels). Price was reasonable too. Had a large chocolate bar as a welcoming gift - nice touch.
My husband and I went to the Oasis by the Bay. Its really clean , has a little kitchenette with everything you need , a little living room. Really modern. About 10 min drive to a grocery store and Wallmart. Definitely going back
The room was very cozy and made it feel like home with the kitchen in it. I would definitely love to visit during the summer. Especially, organizing a team building exercise like photo scavenger hunt. That was the best.
My husband and I sleep on a king-size bed, so when our cousins told us they had booked one two-bedroom suite for five of us (all adults), we quickly booked a two-bedroom suite of our own. And all were glad that we did! Each bedroom has room for only one double bed and a night stand. I found my bed comfortable enough but my husband found his way too soft and had a sore back as a result. None of us, in either unit, liked our pillows. Solid hard foam that left us with stiff necks. Other than that, no complaints. The suite is small and very basic but clean and in reasonably good repair. The kitchen is well stocked and with five BBQs and lots of patio tables and chairs right outside the door, it would be very convenient to cook meals here. Good water pressure with lots of hot water, although I found the towels thin and some had holes in them. It was cool during our three night stay so we didn't use the window A/C. However, if it were warm, be prepared to leave your bedroom doors open as the A/C and the ceiling fan are both in the sitting area only. No daily housekeeping but clean towels available at the office as required. This is a basic motel, don't let the word "resort" mislead you. However, we did enjoy our stay here and I would have rated it higher, if the beds had been more comfortable.…
We stayed in this motel in August 2018.. We went as a family of three. Two adults(one being in a wheelchair) and one child. We were pleased right from the beginning. Staff at the service desk was quite friendly and helpful and showed us to our room to make sure it was to our liking. It was exactly as we expected. I believe it was room 2, which is an accessible room..1 bedroom. We were told to park in a spot reserved for those with disabilities which was quite close to our room. Everything was clean and kept up, with lots of space to move around easily for a wheelchair. The bedroom came with two beds pushed apart, but which could easily be pushed together for couples. Nice big closet with an additional organizer stand with three pull out drawers. We did not need to use the ceiling lifts so I can't comment on those. The bathroom was also a great size for easy maneuvering of a wheelchair(manual) except it was a bit narrower leading up to the shower area. Grab bar by the toilet and a pull down bench in the shower with grab bars there as well as a drop down shower head. The kitchen came equipped with a small bar fridge, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, mugs, silverware and other utensils, an electric griddle, a small mixing bowl, kettle and a few other handy items that were a nice surprise. Packs of coffee and tea, sugar, dish soap, dish cloths and towels, etc. There wasn't much counter space but it worked its purpose. The living room/ dining area had a small table with 3 chairs, a tv, a pull out couch that could easily accommodate the three of us sitting on while watching tv. Also came with a broom and dustpan to clean up. Not a huge area overall but with just three of us, it was nice and comfy and no one felt crowded. Clean towels were provided when ever asked. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I never had any issues with any of them We had a small ant problem in the kitchen area and it was promptly dealt with within minutes. They even followed up afterwards to make sure there were no further issues. You can book excursions with them as well, such as the zoo, boat cruises, tours, etc. I will advise that it is cheaper to do it on your own but if you aren't worried about money, it might be easier just to go through them as they provide the transportation as well(the bus they use is definitely wheelchair accessible.) When we went on the boat cruise, we had Cory(one of the activities co ordinators) come with us. He was VERY friendly and nice. The motel itself is located a couple of minutes away(by foot) from one of the beach areas(I can't remember which one it is). They offer up beach wheelchairs which is wonderful! One of the main reasons I booked with them. BUT we were not able to use it at the beach closest to us because the spot going down to the beach area is on a bit of a decline and was quite narrow in spots so we did not feel safe pushing through it. It's a nice big chair and once on sand, does move quite easily across the flatter sandy areas. One problem my spouse had a problem with is that it does not have adjustable arm rests for easier transferring(which she does herself) and it was quite high up. If you are doing the transferring, those two things might not be an issue! Oasis By The Bay also advertises a fire pit. We were all quite eager about this as we wanted to roast smores in the night time. It turns out that it is a gas fireplace and staff said unfortunately we were not allowed to roast marshmellows on it :( We came up with the solution to use a bbq lighter to heat the marshmellows so this turned out not to be a big deal , and we enjoyed the fireplace any ways. There are quite a few lounge chairs around this area where you could relax by day reading a book or at night enjoying the fire. Just around the corner is the bbq area. Quite a few bbqs are available, with tables and chairs to enjoy a nice meal outside. Everything was pretty clean each time we used them. Good amount of free parking in two different areas. The motel also offers up two free parking permits for people with disability issues. You just have to ask at the front desk and bring them back when you are done with them. Right around the corner(two minute walk easily) from the motel is a convenience store and a pizza place. An further down, 10 minutes or so, are quite a few icecream places. Down the other way is the road leading up to the main strip. We didn't end up walking it directly, but I would say maybe a 20 minute walk to get there. Overall, I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone and I would come back to stay!…
This was a great place to stay. Very convenient with the 2 rooms, the kitchenette fully stocked, the bbq's outside with patio tables and the outdoor fireplace in the evening. Very close to the beach and easy to get to. Would go back!
