Detailed Reviews
Cedar Grove Park does not have permission to walk or walk dogs along Brocks Beach. Public use is the beach adjacent to the trail park.
Brocks Beach is the ONLY beach in Wasaga that has exclusive water rights to the water line. You want to walk the beach, go to a Wasaga Beach Provincial Park Beache.

I just called the place and inquire about the place for next week. She ask if we have a dog and told her yes and she said she dont take dogs which is fine! I clarify with her as she might be pertaining if you get a room or something and it might be different if we have our trailer, then she said "I don't care if you have a dog or not" then hang up!!!! I called back and told her that she is rude and be nicer to the people who is inquirying but she told me to go to hell!!! Dont even attempt calling this place to inquire if you dont want your day to be ruined. This place is definitely terrible!!!!

Went to play their mini golf as it appeared “old times”. It was old and neglected and many holes were in deplorable condition. $36 for a family to play and it unplayable. The matting is worn to shreds, you can’t move your ball as the course is falling apart. It’s ready to be torn down. Suggest if they want to keep it open make it free or a dollar to play.

I've had decades of experience in Cedar Grove park. The changes in the park and people have been minimal over the years, however, that's one of the things I like! If glamming is your preference, don't go! It's basic and crowded with seasonal families and children enjoying their summer. It's loud at times, especially long wknds. The private beach 🏖️ is the attraction. Pitch a tent and forget all others. Ducks, Canadian geese, swans etc ...have been visiting the beach for decades. Walk along the beach and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets while here, drive in town for the attractions, just don't waste your time and energy pointing fingers 😉 🇨🇦

I was so let down by this experience. It is unkept, the sites are not maintained. This is the weekend spots I am speaking of. I was shown 5 camping sites available for my 20ft trailer. There was only one it would fit on. The roads are so narrow that backing up with a truck is almost impossible. Have been towing and parking a trailer for 20 years. This was the first time that I had to pull the tree branches aside just to fit. I love the fact that there are lots of trees however they have not been trimmed in a very time, my trailer was scratched.
The bathrooms had two sinks to wash your hands but no soap, no paper towel or dispenser and no air blowers. There was four show stalls, no shower curtain , nothing to sit on, and it was 2$ for 15 mins of cold water.
There were two beverage dispensing machines, both broken, not plugged in.
The customer service was horrible. Very rude owner, very dirty room in the main house for an office. I wanted to leave withing 2 hours of being there. The beauty of the park is it offers a private beach that's why we selected it. We did have a small dog with us and the owner did tell us to keep it leashed at all time, which we do anyways, because she hates dogs.
NEVER AGAIN

The beach is the only nice thing here. The camper who inhibit the campground seasonally seem to be one huge Portuguese family. Very loud obnoxious till all hours of the night. Everything is dated. The bathrooms and are gross never get cleaned . It's very expensive for overnight camping. Worst place ever .

We stayed 4 nights with our RV at $65/night. We camped 35 nights this year across Canada and that was the highest price. The campsite is out-dated and dilapidated. Several old travel trailer that appear to be abandoned. A bit scary at times! We came to Wasaga for a wedding close by that's why we stayed there. We were barely at the site.
Then our daughter in law and 3 grandchildren came to join us for the final night. They had 1 tent. They arrived at 9:20 pm after the wedding. They were charged $30 per person = $120 for a night!!! In shock at the price I was told by old Patricia that if we don't like it there are many other campgrounds we could go to. I was appalled! If our RV was not already set up and it was late and the kids were tired after the wedding we would have all left! I think we were gouged because of the late hour!!
The office hours say 10 am - 10 pm. We went into the office at 9:20 pm to pay for the tent site and old Mary and old Patricia grumbled under their breath and said to each other - at 10 pm I'm locking the door!
They did not feel welcome at all. Worst customer service ever!!
Firewood was $10 for a small bag that had construction scraps including a small 2x2 with a nail!
Patsy the daughter was the exception - when we arrived with our rv she was pleasant. However all these ladies are old and exhausted from the physical work of a campground. They should sell out or hire younger helpers.
I can over look the outdated facilities - it's camping after all. I can understand the summer prices to an extent -
BUT $120 FOR A TENT SITE FOR A SINGLE FAMILY !!! THAT'S GREEDY AND UNACCEPTABLE.
I WOULD NEVER EVER GO BACK!!

I'm flabbergasted by YMTL's negative review. I admit i'm more used to backcountry camping (Algonquin Park, Jasper Park, Kananaskis Country, ...) than to camping in densely populated areas, but i didn't notice anything wrong with this campground, it seemed completely normal to me. In particular, when i came here solo with a tent on a bicycle, i experienced a very friendly welcome, and the campground manager completed all the formalities at once, even though i disturbed her during diner, so her meal got cold. I offered to return half an hour later for the formalities, but she insisted on serving me right away. The campsite was gorgeous, on a tiny hill under a few cedar trees not 50 meters from the beach, overlooking the lake. The bathrooms seemed spacious and functional to me.
To me, the only downside seemed that the lake is so shallow that you have to walk in a long way before you can swim, but that really hurts the feet because the lakefloor is gravel rather than sand. So don't forget to bring bathing shoes!

My kids and I came to see my mother... here 10 minutes and two people that work here came and harassed me and my family told us to go to hell for using the hose... which led to them calling and harassing another family member which was not present. They are sexists.. they left messages saying they like the men in the park but not the women!!! Thanks for wrecking our family vacation!!! I recommend no one to come here unless you want to be attacked for being a female!!!!
