We arrived on Sunday July 30 at 3 p.m., the person at reception at that time did not seem happy to welcome us, he especially gave us almost no information on the operation of the hostel. To know; the floor of our room, that each room has a tablet in a refrigerator, that the entrance, after 10 p.m. is on the side of the building. In short, all the other staff members for the remainder of our stay were very kind and welcoming and the hostel is beautiful. Suggestion: installing hooks in showers and bedrooms could be a plus.

Clean, quiet, friendly, and great value. Places like this where you can get a good sleep in your own private room for a reasonable price are few and far between.
Perfect location in town, walking distance to everything you need including the microbrasserie and restaurants in Rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste, the beach and to the quay via the Chemin des Soeurs, the art galleries, and even their own museum.
Very convenient for hiking in the Parc des Grands Jardins and ZEC des Martres (40km drive).
I will come again on my bike, as they are also certified Bienvenue Cyclistes!

This is a really nice place to stay in Baie Saint Paul. The establishment is very friendly, well maintained, convenient with its common areas of cooking and rest, its snack bar, its cafe, its large park, its entertainment... In short, a big YES to recommend!!!

The Balcony Inn has been relocated to another section of the old convent. Unfortunately, the place does not have the same character and the problem of loudly slamming doors has not been resolved. In addition, there is little or no supervision on the floors, which means that some hostel guests do not respect the 11 p.m. curfew, especially on evenings when the bistro offers activities. On a Saturday when a DJ was present from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., the sound of slamming doors, discussions and laughter, as well as the sound of dishes being handled in the kitchen, lasted from midnight to approximately 3:30 a.m. on the floor . Impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. And no passing guard! It is true that the value for money is good at this hostel (although prices have increased since the redevelopment), but it is still necessary to maintain the quality and allow customers to spend a night sleeping in peace, which is why they have paid.

Comfortable hostel, welcoming staff, the view from the balconies is magnificent, they have kept the historic style of the place. There is a restaurant on site and sometimes offer shows.

The only downside: the doors which slam loudly.

Very well located in the heart of Baie-St-Paul within walking distance of the beach via the pretty Sisters' Garden path. The new hostel is clean but during my visit several showers and toilets were out of order. However, it is a recent renovation! The big downside: the noise of the fans on the roofs below the hostel which operate 24 hours a day and which really disturbs sleep. We should have closed the windows to sleep well but it was too hot, it just wasn't possible.

A hostel very well located in the heart of Baie St-Paul. An enchanting decor. The rooms are cute with a view of the river. The community kitchen is nice and so is the lounge. We are happy to see that the old convent has a new vocation and is accessible to travelers looking for an affordable place.

My favorite inn. I go there a lot. Everything is perfect.

The location, the building, the common areas... it’s great. I’m going with my 8-year-old daughter, and we’ve always felt safe and inspired. The view from the balconies is also very nice. Quiet hostel.

Wonderful stay. Original, heritage, welcoming, clean and comfortable. We have the impression of being in a separate universe where we can meet all our needs without leaving this immense complex! The rooms are spacious and bright. The place is very inspiring and calming.

Very good, musical entertainment at the weekend, beautiful surroundings close to the shopping street within walking distance. A beach 30 minutes walk, you will see marmots. Coffee just below for snacking. Beautiful kitchen and balcony. To advise. On the other hand no air conditioning or fan in the rooms but it is correct.
