We have just spent four very enjoyable nights at the Maison Otis. This is everything that a boutique hotel should be! The decor and the rooms are beautiful and each room features the work of a local artist. The staff are so welcoming, very warm and friendly. We enjoyed the bar with its lovely stone fireplace and the special cocktails by Delphine made us happy to return every evening to our comfortable seats by the wood-burning fire. We had superb suppers in the restaurant, Tavola for three of our evenings. The service was excellent, merci encore Louis- Simon and the chef, Rafael visited at our table to describe the food he had prepared for us. Our suppers were truly memorable! We have already planned our return visit, this time we will be bringing friends to enjoy the experience.

The room that we stayed in was beautiful and clean. It was nicely stylized and very chique. We had access to a balcony upstairs which was also a plus. The breakfast was delicious.... croissants, jam, cheese, egss, fruit, coffee and juice. Despite everything with COVID we were able to bring it up to our room and enjoy it on the patio. Can't beat the location. Would recommend to friends.

Reserved this place for a couple of days to get away from the routine.
The staff is EXTREMELY helpful, friendly, nice… Attention to details I’ve never seen before (an e-mail before arrival asking for details on our trip to organise our activities, help out with restaurant reservations, a personnalised note of welcome on arrival…)
The room was absolutely outstanding. Comfortable, clean and quiet.
Due to staff shortages, the main restaurant was closed during our stay (Sunday-Monday) but a brand NEW Mexican restaurant was open and was as authentic as can be with a Mexican Chef and friendly staff.
When we go back to Baie St-Paul, theis will be the palce we go to, simple as that!

I never got a chance to make reservation as they are prejudice against hockey teams. Our kids are 10 years old and I requested a group booking for 15 rooms. We are responsible families and because of what they heard at other hotels they turn around and refused us. Looks like a nice place but I would not consider them family friendly. The worst is the desk took my reservation no issue and then the director calls me the next day saying sorry can't. Then he blames his employee saying that he does not make the decision. Wondering based on what else they would accept or not your reservation. Anyways for me its 1 star just the fact never had a chance to go but honestly knowing what i know how they feel about families, good omen of not going!

Bonjour Mr. Capogrosso, I am sad to read this comment. Because of previous experiences, we now review the requests for large groups (as we only have 17 rooms). Our front desk staff is not allowed to make a large group reservation without consulting the direction. This is why, my front desk agent told you that he would relay the request to me, and i would get back to you in less than 24h, which i did. He did not reserve rooms for you as you said, but since you were worried that they would get reserved overnight, he was kind enough to put them on hold while i get back to you to make sure they remain available. He made it clear that it was not a ''yes'' or a confirmation, only a gesture to help you. As a small boutique hotel (which already had rooms reserved for other guests on the dates you requested), i had to make this decision to insure that the other guests in the hotel can enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay, which we are renowned for. We certainly LOVE to have families staying with us (this is why we do have family rooms and studios with sofa-bed), but this decision was based on the size of the group (more than 80% of our hotel), not on the type of guests, as you seem to think. I hope this clears things up a little bit and i apologize if you felt offended by my decision. I also hope you were able to make a reservation in one of the places i kindly suggested to you on the phone. All the best, and i wish a great tournament to your team!

Great experience from check in to checkout. Special mention to Denis on the front desk for his warm welcome and friendly service. Ideal location among the shops and restaurants, you can walk to everything. Spotless room, go for a king to get more space. Our room had a large balcony as a bonus and spacious sitting area. Huge comfortable bed. Continental breakfast was served daily in the restaurant’s dining room and our server was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend to friends.

Love that each room has an art theme and colourful art on the walls. Very comfortable beds and well equipped bathroom. The room had a fridge and writing desk and comfortable chair. This historic hotel is situated right in the heart of Baie St Paul so it is easy to get out and visit all of the nearby galleries and restaurants. The hotel restaurant serves good dinners and delicious continental breakfasts. The staff were very friendly.

Our stay at Maison Otis was so fabulous. It is the sweetest boutique hotel in Baie Saint Paul. We were welcomed warmly, congratulated our 20th anniversary and made to feel very special.
The hotel smells beautiful, the bedroom was absolutely spotless, the sheets were crisp, the bed very comfortable. A wonderful stay from start to finish including the beautiful European breakfast that is provided every morning. We will definitely be staying there again upon our next visit.

The hotel is truly unique with artistically-designed rooms that are comfortable and spacious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food at both restaurants was very good. We also loved the piano player in the lounge - a lovely touch! This was a perfect place for a winter getaway.

It was an ideal accommodation for enjoying the beautiful area in and around Baie St. Paul, Quebec. Our family of 3 spent three nights here- the room was quiet, the queen beds were comfortable, and the breakfasts were a wonderful way to begin our day. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. We needed their help with translating a website because we can’t read (or speak) French, and we wanted to make reservations at the Hautes Gorges de la Rivière Malbaie. The receptionist helped us out so we could plan our outing in advance. It’s worth driving there to hike and go on a riverboat cruise, and then drive back to the hotel via the scenic St.Lawrence River.
