I stayed in Auberge Ancrage in June 2015 for two nights. Jean-Marc was a wonderful host. He prepared delicious breakfasts and while I didn't meet his wife Sylvie I enjoyed her fruit salad infused with her 'secret ingredient'. The auberge is spottlessly clean. My room overlooked the Gouffre river, which is a tributary of the St Lawrence. I went kayaking...

A lovely building, immaculately restored by the owners. We stayed for one night in September and were pleased that we did so. The owner greeted us and was extremely charming. He recommended restaurants in the area and made reservations for us at the one we chose. The breakfast was truly excellent. A charming and stylish spot.

Jean-Marc and his wife Sylvie run a very tight ship. We had 2 lovely rooms, one up-stairs overlooking the main road (had to contend with garbage pick-up at 6:00 am), but the room was very well appointed, with an en-suite. The other room was on the ground, stepping out onto a lovely porch, overlooking the river running past. If one...

Great spot for winding down after a day of skiing Le Massif. And best restaurant in the area next door, Le Mouton Noir. Rooms are spacious and views are beautiful. Bathrooms current and clean. Beds and linens are quality.

House has been recently renovated. Nice rooms, well decorated, very clean and well kept, confortable bed. The rooms in the back of the home are on the riverfront and have very nice balconies for lounging and relaxing. It would have been almost perfect if not for the "grumpiness" of the owner that really did not make us feel welcome. The...

In the art-focussed town of Baie St. Paul, Sylvie and Jean-Marc offer a most congenial introduction to the scenic Charlevoix area. The B&B is in the centre of town with well-appointed and nautically designed, clean rooms. The breakfasts Sylvie prepares are most tasty and Jean-Marc has such a knowledge of the area - its attractions, restaurants, artisan food producers and...

Having turned up on spec, we picked up a leaflet for this B&B (Dejeuner coucher in French) at the tourist information office. The hosts were fantastic. The B&B has 4 rooms, beautifully decorated with a sailing theme - subtle rather than anchors on everything! It is two steps from the main street with shops, restaurants etc. The enormous breakfast (with...
