We stayed for four nights here and loved it. The hosts Sandra and Hector went above and beyond to help us- laundromats were closed for Xmas so they arranged for someone to wash them, they called a variety of restaurants for us to help us find somewhere nice for dinner, they made us breakfast super early the day we left....

The hotel would be a nice place. Big lobby with lounge and rooms that contain everything. However they quote you in US$ and convert it with the black market pesos rate, which makes the stay 1.4 times more expensive when you pay in pesos. In addition they only accept cash and since oct. 2012 the ATMs in el chalten do...

We stayed here for 2 nights in the spacious, but basic room 9. That room is in the extended part, away from the lobby. The wifi is not strong enough to enjoy it in the room. Not a real problem as the lobby is a big, warm and comfortable place to stay. Hector, the owner, was kind enough to bring...

We stayed two nights here on a recent Patagonian trip with a group of seven. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the bathroom we had was probably the most spacious one we had in Argentina, with bath and shower over. It was cool when we arrived, and the whole place was nicely warm. There was a large living/ dining...

We stayed at Posada Altas Cumbres for three nights. The owners were on holiday and their son managed the rooms in the meantime. He was very friendly and helpful. It seems they built some new rooms recently and we stayed in one of those. It was the largest room we had in Patagonia so far and the whole place was...

Good place to stay at El Chalten with comfortable and clean rooms at a decent price. The owners are very friendly, only the breakfast could be a bit better. They also have a lot of information about the area

Beds here were very comfortable and rooms were a good size with plenty of space to spread out your hiking gear. Bathrooms varied in size across our group but all had toilet, sink and shower over a bath with plenty of hot water. The dining room is nice and large with plenty of tables and facilites to make tea and...

We had a group of 11 and had 3 nights there. Can't complain about much and we all enjoyed our stay. Heater worked fine, shower pressure & hot water was fine, beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. Yes, breakfast was toast, excellent croissants, tea or coffee, the urbiquitous cheese and ham and cordial which is what you...

We (2 adults, one 14 year old) stayed for 3 nights in April 2009. We were the last guests prior to the hostel closing for winter. We had a 3 bed room in the newer part of the hostel. It was big (good), but sparsely furnished. The heated floor was good, while the low water volume coming out of the...
