The Kulu Bay Resort is a great find. The location is amazing, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the food is good. If you really want to get away from the world, this is the place to go. I am a financial services professional from Los Angeles, and as you might imagine, I work insane hours and...

If you're looking for an empty resort, rundown buildings, horrible food, and rude staff, this is the place to go! I'm not even sure where to start, but I'll give you the dirt on this nasty place. We were scheduled to be picked up at the airport via prepaided car transfer. Never showed up, so we hired our own taxi,...

This supposed "five star resort" was three stars if lucky. Although the rooms were very nice, that's all it has going for it. However, there were huge bugs and spiders in the room. Some should be expected on a remote island, but not to this extent. Atmosphere is like boot camp - set meals at 8am, 12pm and 6pm. Who...

We stayed at Kulu Bay in June 2006 and it was the perfect romantic getaway. We booked directly with the resort and we recieved great customer service from them. We had originally booked for October 2005 and then had to cancel a couple of days before we left - they were great and it wasn't a problem for them to...

My husband and I recently spent a week at Kulu Bay. We had a great time. The food was excellent and the chef was very accomadating (I had them change something for me once). There is a set menu but it was excellent. Highlights for us were seared tuna and peanut chicken. The breakfasts are made to order (eggs, bacon,...

After much research and deliberation we decided to go to Kulu Bay Resort for our honeymoon. Our trip was truly beyond expectation. Our bure was spacious and very comfortable (lucky #7 at the end). The food was tasty, with beautiful presentation, but lack of choices. If you want to try lots of new things, it will be for you. Their...

My wife and I stayed for 5 days in September. No bug problem. Loved every minute. There was only one other couple booked in at the time, and they spent most of their days on their veranda. We had the beach to ourselves! Take a snorkel as the coral is fantastic. Staff brought out meals and drinks to the bure,...

Cant believe all the wonderful comments about Melissia and so called booking experiences, when we experienced the exact opposite...or it might have been that we werent big bucks e.g.honeymooners. Also note that the top ratings are coming from mainly USA and Canada also noticable no postings from NZ or Australia. Still dont feel compelled even after reading comments about it...

“make sure to bring your bug spray! Mosquito are pretty bad. Also be sure to charge any electronics you need during the evenngs during the day as our stay was very overcast and we lost power around 8 a couple times. Didn't cause us any problems though as it's a wonderful place to see stars, listen to the ocean and go to bed early after all the good food.”
