We live in Mexico and a few of my friends decided on a quiet beach weekend. We know Bobby (Roberto's restaurant Ajijic) and rented his 4 BR B&B for a 3 days weekend. Loved it. Steps to the beach and local seafood restaurants. The house is fully stocked for cooking and eating in tho we preferred to mostly eat out....

We have just spent a long weekend at Quinta Cuyutlan. It was a perfect get away for us & our family, to enjoy the peace & quiet of the coast & relax. The house only 50 yards from the sea, was clean, very comfortable with en-suite bedrooms & air conditioning, we so enjoyed sitting on the terrace with views over...

A little hidden treasure in Cuyutlan. Origionally a family home on the beach for wealthy Guadalajarians built in the 1950's. Steps to the beach. Fun, funky (in a shabby chic kind of way) and relaxing. We spent a month; sand walking in the morning and evening. Spending the warm mid day at the pool or on the amazing second floor...

We rented Quinta Cuyutlan for a family reunion between Christmas and New Year. Roberto and Carmen were great in meeting our special dietary needs- Gluten Free and Vegetarian. Roberto spent time outlining activities and food options in the town as well as supplying a comprehensive list of restaurants and stores in near by communities. House was clean. When there was...

I stayed here to get out of the winter cold a couple months ago. It was a lovely place and Roberto's food was excellent as it is in his restaurant in Ajijic. Decor and ambiance, great and clean. It was a bargain for the price.

The only negative reviewer must think that Cuyutlan is Miami Beach and the hotels are all The Ritz. It's a small town and does get hit hard by hurricanes, but the owners of this hotel keep their place in tip-top condition. You can't please some people.

I don't know what the previous reviewer was talking about. I used to be in the hotel business & also helped run a guest house in the Caribbean. This isn't the Four Seasons but doesn't pretend to be. Excellent service, charming ambience & great location. Oh, and did I mention CLEAN?

Given the wonderful reviews here, we were shocked upon our arrival this past week to see the state of decay at this beach house. All 8 of us would have walked right out but being adventurous, we had brought our own food (could not cook it due to a very disorganized kitchen with dishes we would have had to wash...

A wonderful time. While we expected to look to the west from our upstairs terrace overlooking the Pacific, we learned that we were actually facing due south with the next point of land being the Antarctica. Roberto is a wonderful host with marvelous culinary talents. Our mornings began with coffee and fresh juice on the terrace followed by breakfast next...
