We have just returned from four days at Beaver Lake. The Honeymoon cabin (we have been married forty seven years)at Whispering Hills was very nice and our time in the area very relaxing. We hiked and sat on the wonderful porch watching the beautiful birds.
Romantic, peaceful and quiet. We stayed in the Country Blue cabin. Thoughtfully designed and appointed. The VIEW is beautiful. We stayed in late February, so the lake is peaceful and quite. Hiking trails with wildlife, romantic and QUIET. Highly recommend a 3 night stay. We already booked a late spring trip back.
We stayed in the Honeymoon cabin at Whispering Hills. It's very cozy with a fireplace, jacuzzi, and a private deck/porch with a swing and a beautiful view of Beaver Lake. It's secluded, but not TOO secluded - it's 9 miles to Garfield, AR which has a gas station cafe/grill that is also great. We called ahead on our day of arrival because we would be arriving late and Beverly was so pleasant. We definitely plan to go back in the future.
We stayed in the Country Blue cabin for our honeymoon and it was absolutely beautiful. Even the drive out there was gorgeous. I loved the view of the lake from both the porch swing and the jacuzzi, and the inside of the cabin was great too. Decently big kitchen, lots of tv channels, and a huge bathroom. I just wish we could have stayed longer!
My wife and I are making it an annual get-a-way over the holidays to find peace and quiet. Last year we learned that staying at a cabin for 2 full days instead of sight seeing was our best use of time to just relax and be together. This year we stayed at Whispering Hills Cabins owned by Mark and Beverly. Communication prior to our stay was excellent and their rate per night is very reasonable. We choose the winter months so that we can burn fires all day long. In 48 hrs, we didn't walk outside except to get some more wood. :o) I have attached many photos of the Kenzy's Wilderness Cabin. (1 of 3 cabins on the property but spaced apart well by trees and distance.) The outside of the cabin is very nice and reflects the quality of the inside also. The whole cabin interior is well crafted and decorated. Our temps were low 40's upper 30s at night and the furnace had no problem keeping us warm. The kitchen is fully stocked but we brought along a few of our own favorite cooking utensils and small skillet. We utilized the charcoal grill for an incredible steak meal. From the living room you can lookout over the deck on to Beaver Lake scenery. There is a king bed downstairs and a king or queen in the loft. The loft has it's own outdoor deck area for even better views of the lake. The only bathroom is the size of the bedroom with a sink/ vanity, toilet, dual head shower and a large jacuzzi tub. Most importantly is the massive picture window to look out while relaxing in the tub. Incredible!! Would we go back? Yes…
