There are several good "Posadas" at Los Roques. However, i found very special that this one faces the beach while other ones are in the middle of the little town. Having breakfast and dinner looking at the beach just a few steps away makes the experience even better. Staff was helpful giving advice for the different boat trips available. I...

We've just finished a week in Los Roques, staying at La Gaviota. Yes, it's not "Sanctuary" on Camelback, or a spa resort - but it's clean, excellent service and well located. Boat Trips to the islands leave from either 5 mins walk away (main jetty) or 2 mins walk (Church Jetty). After a while the days spent siting on endless...

We stayed 12 days at La Gaviota and appreciated the friendly atmosphere, the basic but refined premises and the attentive staff. Meals were very "balanced" maybe a bit too "international"; we asked for lobster (at least once...) but were told we could not get it, even for a surcharge. Upon arriving we had to argue for a good room (and...

Charming Pousada, genuinely solicitous staff, comfortable room, great food served `al fresco´ out front, good packed lunches for the island hopping. Hire a motorboat for truly getting away from the sometimes crowded beaches (this is relative, it´s never like Ipanema at the weekend!) Find one of the sandbars with a shack on it to be served the freshest lobster, oysters,...

The place is nice and well situated in the little town of Los Roques. The staff was very nice, but they did not speak a word of english despite the website states they do. Communication had to go through other guest with spanish skills. Dinner was great every day, but the waiter was a little to eager to remove the...

Posada la Gaviota was a wonderful experience, unforgettable for all of us. They make us feel at home from the first moment. The feeling of order, cleanliness and service are present in every detail. When we sat on the beach to see the sunset or have dinner under the huge tree at the front, is delicious. The attendants are very...

I went to Los Roques with my sister on February 2011 and we had a great time at Posada La Gaviota! Clean, organized and with a very attentive staff, always ready to help with anything you need. Food was fantastic every day, with perfect packed lunches and three course dinner.

My partner and I had an excellent stay at La Gaviota. The staff was very warm, attentive and relaxed. Nothing was too much to ask and they organized all of our activities and equipment rentals. The food at the posada is wonderful: three course dinners, hot and cold breakfast buffet, and the packed lunches were perfect for eating on the...

This little Posada is very rustic. But our room has Air Conditioning and great TV. 98 channels. Rooms are tiny but comfortable beds. No one spoke English, so it was quite an adventure. Our package was meals, and trips to the close islands each day. About a 5 minute boat ride. They set up tent, give you cooler with drinks...

What I loved the most about Posada La Gaviota was the food! they serve great gourmet meals (breakfast & dinner), also the boats depart right in front of Posada (very convenient). I spent my vacation doing Kitesurfing in the beautifull blue waters and my children and wife enjoyed doing snorkel. Tip: normaly the Posada Pakage includes trips to the beaches,...
