Two different rooms! This Hotel is near the uni. Also, near a good cafe for brekky called Deli. The first room we had was cheap and dreary. The poor old curtains were baring their threads. The room was dark because there was only one position for keeping the room cool: closed curtaiins. But there was a fascinating wide view of backyards. The second room was a bit less cheap. Better furnishings. Both were cleaned well, bathrooms good. The hot water mystery never quite resolved. Tried emptying Caracas dams for about 20 minutes until some hot arrived. I only did this once, on reception advice, but was too shocked by the water waste to do it again. Ah well, cold showers are good for the skin! Made friends with reception as we stayed twice, although no English available. So, it did the trick for safe, affordable, inner-city and clean. I didn't spot the roof, or pool, sadly, should have read this advice. More

This is a good 2 star hotel in nice location behind the Uni - lots of taxis nearby and you can walk to cafes. At 270 Bs a standard room which worked out at about 35 euros a night this was pretty good. The highlight for me was the roof top which has a great vista of skyscrapers and barrios of Caracas, great while you drink a whisky in the pool, though the pool was not clean every day. Rooms were clean, good cable TV, though showers were disapointingly cold. Restaurant had a great menu and was comfortable with a good atmosphere, Good service. They even had lamb on the menu. More
