Elephant Sands was on our bucket list for more than 3 years but after we had spent 2 weeks in Botswana already and 10 of those days camping in the wild, we thought we had seen it all. We nearly skipped it but did luckily decide otherwise. There were literally almost 70 elephants just few meters away from where you...

What a place, so many elephants. Were we camped we had elephants walking past our tent the whole night. This is our third time back and best best yet, only the one ablution block was in operation as the as the open air ablution block needed repairs due to the elephants looking for water. Bar area is nicely situated near...

I visited elephant sands three years ago with my family and we didn't see one elephant inside the camp, so it was with reluctance that I rebooked for an overnight stop enroute to Kasane, with good friends who were visiting from UK ! As soon as we drove through to reception we could see many elephants by the watering hole...

The waterhole attracts numbers of elephants to this unfenced Eco lodge. The large tent rooms are great & with running water. We have had a excellent time here watching the elephants. The hotel takes your personal security seriously and at night they will drive you to your room.

This was the question we were asked by the driver/chef/guide/ranger 10 mins into our what we thought would be an epic journey which started off with some crazily stupid driving by this gentleman who was totally unfit to be in the hospitality industry. Coming to our experience, which i am going to put as it happened with full respect to...

We visited on 16 October with two other couples. It was a stopover on our way up to Caprivi and a really good start to our holiday with regards to elephant viewing. There were elephants constantly at the waterhole; I understand because the surrounding area is so dry currently. The animals did seem quite distressed; there was a lot of...

we used the campsite as a stop over when we were driving from Kasane to Maun, the area is amazing, there are just plenty elephants which are roaming freely, a goo way to see so many elephants in different sizes. it was scary initially as we got stuck in the sand as we were driving a small car and Elephants...

The name says it all. This was an experience beyond anything we expected. This was meant to be just a one night stop-over between Kasane and Polokwane. Instead, it one of the standout memories of our fabulous trip through Namibia, Botswana and South Africa. Walking and "sleeping#" among the elephants was awesome. And by the way, the bush braai was...

Elephant Sands is ideally located as a stop over on your way through Botswana. The tented chalets offer everything you need for a short stay, however there are no facilities for self catering. The lodge offers dinner - at a price ............ The amazing experience are the elephants which move around freely in the area and gather around the waterhole...
