We will definitely return. We loved the quiet, river, cabin and dock. We stayed in The River Mist Cabin and it was clean, nicely furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. Jodi is the owner and gave perfect directions to the cabin which is on a dead end road. So traffic is no problem here. We took our...

The Rainbow Cabin is an absolutely perfect place to escape for rest and relaxation. My husband and I loved it!! If you like to fish, the location is ideal. I enjoyed spending time on the deck just listening to nature and watching the river roll by. Just lovely.

My husband and I have stayed at River Hideaway several times, with groups and as a couple, each time the trip has been wonderful. The cabins look as if they were professionally decorated, while still obtaining that cozy at home feeling. Our group adventure landed us in the rainbow cabin at our last stay, convienently located by the fishing dock....

My husband and I were truly blessed when we discovered the River Hideaway. We spent 2 months living here, and it was one of the most relaxing, healing places I have ever been. The cabin we stayed in was very clean, (the Blue Heron), and just being able to watch the sun rise & the blanket of stars each night...

Relating to "Don't Stay Here!" I'd like to mention that I have a most-enviable occupancy rate of 75% year-round - which many 5-star hotels would envy! I also have a 50-60% returning guests, something I'm sure would not be true if all the allegations in this review were true. First things first: The guests were not provided with a key,...

Stayed in the Brown Trout Cottage. It was small, but cute. It was right on the river with a nice dock for fishing. The down side: it was not clean. There was a layer of dust on just about everything. It wasn't so bad that we felt we couldn't stand it, but I did spend some time trying to clean...

This review is about the "romance suites" upstairs in the Log Cabin Lodge - the Eagles Nest and Robin's Roost. NOT the cabins by the river. This is the new lodge as advertised on the website. THE GOOD THINGS - nicely decorated. Large bathroom with top of the line spa tub, nice soaps and candles. Lots of towels. Decent sized...

Perfect end of summer getaway. My husband and I took our son and a friend to the Brown Trout Cabin for a few days before they went back to school. We loved it! The cabin itself was very nice, and very relaxing. We really enjoyed the full kitchen, especially with two boys! Loved the screened in porch - especially at...

We stayed in the Rainbow Trout Cottage. This place is absolutely great. If you want a place that is quite and peaceful, this is the place to go. We enjoyed the river veiw that we had. And the porch on the river bank is a great way to unwind from the day. They allow pets which was a plus for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
River Hideaway consists of 3 beautifully unique riverfront cabins, in Heber Springs, Arkansas on the Little Red River. The cabins are named 'Magic Mist Steampunk Cabin' , 'Over the Rainbow Cabin', and 'Hollywood Hills Cabin'. Each one complete with its own personality that have become individual evolving art projects for the owners. They are always adding to and changing the interior landscape with interesting and unusual antiques, furniture, and the purely unexpected.. Among the surrounding exterior landscape of flowers and fruit trees there are unexpected surprises, such as the Golden bike on the riverbank in front of the Over the Rainbow cabin. These are not typical river cabins! River Hideaway has been under new ownership since September 2015. There have been many changes, including adding the newest, most spacious (3 acre), Hollywood Hills Cabin in October 2016. The interiors of all the cabins have been continuously updated including all new linens, quilts, and towels throughout. The cabins have been renovated with creativity at the forefront. Each cabin has become its own unique evolving work of art for guests to enjoy the river with a new perspective. The goal of River Hideaway is to provide a comfortable and interesting space to create lifelong memories with loved ones on the magical banks of the tranquil Little Red River. This is done with comfortable accommodations and nicely appointed amenities, as well as beautiful , unexpected decor. All of the properties have access to private fishing docks just steps from the cabins, and each have a collection of games and art supplies to enjoy time together, as well as promoting individual inspirations. The cabins feel like a world away, when enveloped by the sounds and beauty of the natural setting with the river is flowing by. The mature trees scattered along the river creates a canopy in Spring and Summer- full of life and river creatures. There are several outdoor seating areas that are inviting for nature watching, or just catching up with friends or loved ones. Nothing compares to waking up to the sounds of nature and the river flowing by, or the stars and moon reflecting on the water after sunset. All of the beauty of the natural world right at the doorstep, day and night. ... more   less
