This hidden hotel was fantastic ! We had a updated room with brand new hardwoods, beds 💤 and a huge balcony. The fog was the only thing obscuring the beautiful view. This family run business aims to please and scored a home run ⚾️I can not wait for my next visit to The Mountain Star Lodge!

The hotel and room was clean. The furnishings were nice. The couple who runs the hotel is very friendly. On the downside, the walls are very thin. We could hear so much going on around us. We asked about breakfast at the time that it should've been closed, and he kept out what was left for a little bit longer...

The manager is friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping does a great job. The hotel is still being remodeled, so one can see construction items tucked under the outside stairs. The hotel is quiet, with comfy beds, lots of hot water in showers, and each room looks out over the pool and the Tx hill country. Bring your own pillow though (I...

Lots of construction in the front and serious updating going on Few "new" rooms but stayed in back upstairs "old" suite. Great view.. actually incredible view of Canyon land..Nice walk out deck but too hot to enjoy being outside. Clean room with dated southwestern decor. Talked to the friendly new owner who checked me in hooking me up with $100...

I was very impressed with this evening stay. Easy to find on 620, lots of parking and very friendly staff. Rooms clean and comfortable with very nice patios overlooking the pool. Quiet even with 620 near by. Comfortable lobby. Great prices for a great stay. Rating would have been Excellent but the place is showing a need for a little...

This could be such a lovely boutique hotel. The views could be awesome from the pool. However, the hotel is dirty and poorly maintained. This hotel needs a complete cosmetic upgrade. The exterior is appealing with stone but that is the extent of good. Upon arrival no one was at front desk to meet us. Waiting approximately 10 minutes for...

At first glance, this place looks great, due to its exterior architecture and great location. The wifi was great, but that's the only good thing I'll say about this place. We quickly detected a weird, off-putting, smell in our room. The furniture was at least 10 years too old. The walls appeared to have been neglected for years due to...

Arrived around 4:30pm for a one night stay. Had booked a suite, and was checked in quickly and without incident. When I got to my room, it was a two-queen standard room. I tried calling the front desk, but there was no answer. I returned to the office and spoke to the front desk staff, who was baffled by my...
