When you are there you have to realize where u r. Close to the border to chile in the far south of the Uyuni desert. As all the other writers here, we stayed there for a night during round trip . The staff is highly motivated, to make u feel as comfortable as they can. From the beginning we got...

This hotel is lost in the middle of the desert 100 miles away from a city. Knowing this, it is a very charming hotel with an authentic feeling and international standards. The rooms are spacious with a nice view on the valley (the hotel is located on a hill). Diner was nice made from local products as well as the...

We havent expected there is a "hotel" in the desert. But when we got there, it really surprised us. Very nice hotel, all made in rocks, very special, and service is very good. Room is clean and with hot water for shower. Dinner is good also. In this kind of environment, run a hotel this chiqui is a miracle:)

- The hotel is situated near the village of San Pedro de Quemez. It is built from blocks of volcanic rock. The architecture is very interesting, but do not look at the details: poor workmanship everywhere! Maybe this is because local people were involved in the building activity, but it seems the management does not care either. - Large room...

OK, it's in the middle of nowhere but this was the only hotel in 6 weeks of travelling where we felt it necessary to use our sleeping bag liners when going to bed. The sheets may well have been clean but to find black hairs and other bits & pieces doesn't fill you with confidence. Yep, the water was hot...

The Tayka group have the better hotel facilities in this region but, do not be fooled, they are all quite basic. This hotel is well out of the way of resources such as food and complex building materials, so much of the food is local and therefore very limited. In all fairness, our food was tasty and the wine cheap!...

As others have said, it's in the middle of nowhere, so it's Hobson's Choice. It felt as though the duty manager knew that, so we didn't get the good service others mentioned. We didn't get any heat, light or water in our room for most of the stay either! We were quite upset when the manager casually flicked some switches...

Make no errors, this hotel is as basic as it gets. It is miles from anywhere so running such an establishment in such a harsh environment is an achievement in itself. The staff are extremely willing and helpful. The rooms very rudimentary and freezing. Need new curtains as when we stayed, made from just a piece of hessian, one with...

Yes - this is not a Marriott in Hawaii. The hotel is very beautiful, the people are friendly, service is good. We were staying here all alone so I don't know if there are a lot of other hotel options around for non backpackers. But I would stay here again and in winter I would even as backpacker consider staying...
