The bungalows are very basic but nicely set up and very reasonably priced. This is the best spot if you want to walk up the volcano (it's a more genuine experience than taking a 4WD and it's an easy 45 minutes climb). Thomas & Janet are very knowledgeable and friendly.

This is a wonderful place to stay right under the volcano, you can literally hear and see mt yasur rumbling away all night...where in the world can to do that! Thomas and his family, have a lot of enthusiasm about looking after visitors and making sure they have a good time. We stayed in a bungalow, which was basic but... More

We had the best experience staying in this beautiful tree house. The view to the volcano is stunning and they excellent planning different tours to the waterfall, the hot springs and a custom village. Their hospitality is great! I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely brilliant. Thomas and his family are wonderful people, very hospitable and take care of your every need. The tree house is awesome, with the most beautiful view on the volcano. You will sleep like an angel with the rumbling on the background. It is basic, but it has all you need and more.

Stayed one night with Thomas & his family. Yasur View lodge is set in very scenic and tidy grounds. Accommodation is basic but has great views of volcano peak from our treehouses. Takes about 2.5 hours to drive in 4WD on bumpy road but worth it as opposite entrance to volcano. Has cold shower and flushing toilet in a hut.... More

We spend two nights up in the tree house with direct amazing view on Yasur. Thomas was a fantastic host, guided us up to Yasur in the earliest morning hours and we had and amazing deluxe time up at the vulcano and also at his lodge. The food was really nice, we had a good sleep and are still dreaming... More

This is a great location to be able to go to the volcano as often and as long as you wish. This camping ground is at the base of the volcano, a 45 minute walk from the volcano top. We stayed for 4 nights with Thomas and his family who welcomed us warmly. We enjoyed the evening meals together. He... More

Stayed in Tanna and this campsite for 6 days - felt too long to be here at the start but then never wanted to leave. The family are so friendly and we played football and cricket with them and joined them to a family river trip. A real cultural insight. Whatever you want to do while there - ash boarding,... More

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Yasur View Lodge. Thomas and his family were excellent hosts. So helpful and friendly. Luckily, we were able to stay in a tree house room while we were there for our one night. This was an unforgettable experience, walking up the 40 steps to the room nestled in a giant banyan tree.
