The Royal Tree Lodge is a small, privately owned lodge excellently run by the Management team and staff located just outside the village of Maun. Transport can be arranged from the Maun Airport to the Lodge. There's a variety of animals to view on the property, e.g. Giraffe, Buck, Ostriches, etc and a variety of birds are to be seen...

This was our first overnight stop after 29 hours of travel to Maun Botswana. This lodge is situated 20 minutes out of Maun on a 200 acre private reserve. The area has free roaming animals including springboks, zebras, giraffes, elands, kudus and several other species but excluding the big predators and elephants. Our group was greeted on arrival by a...

We stayed here two nights on the way from the Caprivi region in Namibia to the Okavango Delta. This is a lovely place. We had one of the honeymoon suites which was large and comfortable. It took a little getting used to only having an outdoor shower. We were here two nights

Came here with my son for 1 night between safari's as I was later told it was part of a package to get the other 2 safari's (Delta Camp & Khwai tented camp, both in the Okavango Delta). I was expecting a game reserve but in all honesty, it is a lovely lodge with individual rooms, I would liken it...

Thank you for posting a review on our page, it is great to have the feedback. There are alot of bugs this time of the year in the evenings unfortunately and whilst it is possible to eat inside, we have to keep the doors open to let in the cooler air which would only let the bugs in too. We...

A lovely lodge just outside of Maun but close enough to access for meetings that I had to attend. Clean, spacious, calm, tranquil. A must-do when you stay at this lodge, and the total highlight of my stay here, is the Ride Botswana experience through their little reserve. Being able to get up close and personal to giraffe, eland, oryx,...

The Lodge and the staff were fantastic, set in its own reserve we couldn't of asked for better. The food was good and the accommodation clean and well maintained. Even managed a horse back game drive which the kids loved, highly recommend.

We were here three years ago and didn't hesitate to return at the end of our safari in August, 2016, to relax before returning to 'reality'. No disappointment!! The 'tents' are very comfortable and private. The staff couldn't be friendlier, more personal or more willing to help with any questions or problems. Julius, the manager, is wonderful. The food is...

Thanks so much for your comments, we will certainly pass along to our staff who are always so happy to receive appreciation for their efforts. We need to constantly check the walks as the animals have a habit of kicking over the pointers. We do hope we see you again soon.

Located inside a private game reserve, Royal Tree Lodge is a beautiful lodge that blends in beautifully with its unique Botswana landscape it's located in. A beautiful use of natural materials in its decor brings the outside in. I stayed in the luxury tents and it truly was the definition of African luxury. Being a tent and in winter, it...
