This hotel has gorgeous grounds, but is a bit disappointing when it comes to making a first class hotel. Dark rooms, mediocre breakfast, A/C that didn't adjust, and the essentials that make for a memorable stay.

Even though the rooms and grounds are very nice, the hotel is far from being a 5 star hotel, though it has great potential. We were the only 2 guests and it seemed they did not have the air conditioning running long enough because the room was terribly hot at night. The food for breakfast did not seem very fresh...

It was lovely to come upon this place after a long day exploring. The rooms elegant and the pool close to our room a welcome relief. Food and bar very adequate. After an early morning call, we were close enough to the desert for a camel ride to watch the sun rise.

We stopped here after spending the night in the desert, because we were told the ride all the way to Ouarzazate would take too long. In retrospect, it would have been better to just have a longer day and avoid Erfoud. (Luckily, the weekly souk was in Rissani so we did have a pleasant stay, but were lucky we hit...

We arrived late in the afternoon and were given some mint tea and taken to our room on the second floor of the main building overlooking one of the pools. I think we were the only guests at the hotel so we felt like the king of the palace. The staff were very nice and helpful and we had a...

Plalais du Desert offered a comfortable one night stay. The manager is diligent in making sure the guests are welcomed. We had some issues with TV and Internet but the staff were diligent in correcting the issue. The rooms were fine and we all enjoyed the nice shower compared to other hotels we had stayed in. The beds are a...

This was a comfortable hotel near the desert in Morocco. Unusual design, spread out over a large area, with 2 lovely pools although it was way too cold to try them out. No elevators for rooms on second floor, and rooms needed more lighting at night, but roomy and pleasant. Food in the restaurants was very good. Enjoyed this experience!

We were here off season to visit the Sahara. The hotel is built in the Kasbah style. There is a huge reception and a separate building for dining. The rooms are large, pleasant, and furnished with stone embedded with fossils from the area. As others have noted, they are dark. The food here is so-so but I've been told this...

Our tour group used this hotel as a base from which to journey to the edge of the Sahara desert. The reception lobby was very grand and the dining pavilion was beautifully appointed. Nevertheless, it seemed the hotel had recently opened and was still working through minor problems that a more established hotel might have resolved. The 2 pools needed...
