This 60-year old tourist facility is showing its age. Quirky place, could do with an overhaul. Having said that, it has generous sized rooms, a nice garden with several birds I hadn't seen before, a good bar on the terrace and pretty good service. The...More
I stayed just the one night after crossing the border from Uganda . Good WiFi in the bar/dining area . Accommodation was good , staff were all friendly and helpful . There was a good choice of food and it was very tasty . Of...More
on a trip where we stayed at some excellent accomodation this was a disaster. We arrived after a long journey from Uganda to be shown to a "room"/ cupboard where the bed was nearly the same size as the room, we initially unpacked ,I went...More
I went here with a friend for drinks and one other time for dinner (never stayed at the hotel). Great experience both times. Service is somewhat slow compared to the US, but TIA. Compared to the service here in Musanze it's average. The drink variety...More
My friends and I went there for dinner and it was really disappointing. We waited 1 hour for a simple Goat Brochette and at the end of the night, they tried to charge us more money.
P.S the brochette wasn't that good.

While I know you're asking for yourself, it's always a good idea to talk to some knowledgeable people. For the sake of reseach, and because you might end up using some very good folks (which ain't such a bad idea) you might want to contact a small, boutique firm called E-Trip Africa. American born Ben Jennings and his wife Aurelie live in Arusha, and they do a superb job of creating custom- and I mean custom- tours to budget and desires in these areas. Just used them for the second time for five weeks in the Rwanda and Uganga gorilla and chimp tours. including this place. Big outfit they are not. That's what I love about them. We all have our faves. MIght be worth contacting. I"m on a budget and I will only use these folks. They work hard to make you happy and their guides are superb. For what it's worth.

"Avoid the first rooms if you want a bit of peace and quiet as they are nearest the bar and road."
