We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed the facilities. It is a large place and we enjoyed exploring the gardens and the pool. The food was inconsistent. Breakfast was poor one day but much better the next day. The first day no eggs were offered but the second we had. Also some things we ordered on both dinners but were very different in quality.

My stay at Classic Hotel in Musanze was exceptional. The lush environment, surrounded by trees, provided a serene escape. The food was delicious, and the swimming pool was a perfect spot to relax. Highly recommend for a peaceful and enjoyable stay!

Really not up to standard experience. Rooms are stinking and they try to cover the smell by spraying all over. It s really bad. Cleaning was in bathrooms is doubtful
Food is terrible
The place has potential but it a badly managed

While I was in Musanze recently, I was invited to do a tour of a huge new hotel. As many as 1500 people had attended an event there the day before.
This must be Musanze's biggest hotel. It sits at the top of a small hill, 8 km outside Musanze town, meaning it would be a good destination for big conferences or even weddings.
Although the Lodge has been open since November, management are making some finishing touches before they start with the serious promotion. We had a tour of the well-equipped conference centre and some of the rooms of the hotel. More traditional banda type cottages (made of volcanic rock) for international tourists were being completed while I was there.
I was given a tour of the presidential suite, which the president himself visited while it was under construction.I was shown a variety of different rooms, including a family cottage, suites, superior rooms and others. There are at least 40 different rooms. They are all well equipped, with modern style furnishings. I noted that rooms and suites in the main buildings had high security door locks and motion sensor lights.
The swimming pool looked fantastic (Olympic size apparently). The hotel also has a gym, sauna, football pitch, basketball and volleyball. Massages are available.
The gardens were maturing nicely and had been thoughtfully planned using locally available volcanic rock and bamboo. There were plenty of birds to be seen in the grounds. In terms of other activities, the hotel is developing an eco-park. (I suggested they change the name because it's the same name as a more established eco-park down the road). There will be a range of 10 activities on offer for hotel residents. Passers-by can also take part for a small fee. It wasn't clear whether those activities are available yet.
I stayed for lunch and had a very tasty fish brochettes. Service was good (although there were few people there on the day that I visited).
The dining and living areas are huge and there are different kinds of seating available, whether traditional table and chairs for eating, huge comfy sofas, barstools or other outdoor seating. In the main dining area, there is a range of traditional art on display.

This afternoon my 3 colleagues and I wanted a quiet please to seat and eat and we decided to go this Lodge in Musanze with a beautiful location! What was planned to be a very good evening turned to be the worst experience we ever had. We order our meals before even getting at the place but surprisingly we waited for more then 2 good hours for the food to come! The only excuse being a new chef was on duty which my friend and I did not take as a big deal. When we finished our food, we waited for an over 1 hour waiting to get the bill so we can pay and go, unfortunately no one came with the bill despite several people we sent including the security in the car park. Around 22:30 we decided to leave and left our contacts which in our thoughts wasn’t even big issues as personal I use the swimming pool and in fact I have a monthly membership. This was not enough for the waiter and whoever was in charge of the hotel this evening as we were stopped at the gate for an other 30 min waiting for this invoice that never came. It is very disappointing and embarrassing to be stopped by the gateman as a thief yet we waited for our bill for over 3 hours. This is not a place to go! The staff and the management should be trained how to treat customers.

Recently stayed in the hotel more than once. It is a newly opened property hardly a year old.A Vast area which has main hotel block , separate swimming pool and club house , restaurant, large play ground, well maintained garden etc. Still under construction is conference centre and probably more rooms.
Environment friendly material such as bamboo has been widely used in construction.. Energy saving lighting is there but a provision of a table lamp on working table would be helpful while working with Laptop.
Rooms are spacious with double bed , each room has a small balcony , a working table , locker etc.
Buffet breakfast with good spread is served if the number of guest is more , otherwise it is served on the table.
Lunch and dinner menu has wide choice but strongly recommended to place order in advance. Preparation of dishes take more time. Mostly non vegetarian dishes are available - we could find only one vegetarian dish, Preparation and serving is quite good, unless specified the foods are not spicy.
We sat in the outside the main dinning hall during breakfast and lunch. It provides a great view of the mountains .
There is a bar in the hotel block but also in the club house area. . The hotel has gym facilities , spa etc which is mostly free for hotel guests.
The only negative point is being far away from Musanze town and unless you have own transport one would not be able to move out of the hotel..
Security is quite strict and it is quite safe,
If a electric kettle with tea bags / coffee / milk powder etc are kept in the room it would be very appreciated .

If you are looking for a get away from the hustle and bustle of Kigali, this place is fabulous. Delicious food, beautiful and comfortable lodging. A great place for families with a basketball court, football pitch, and an Olympic sized pool with tons of gorgeous green space. An easy paved road drive from Kigali.
