Second visit to this magic location. The 1830 cottage is a very comfortably appointed 2 bedroom house. Set in stunning gardens, an oasis in the Karoo. The host, Marliza, is very welcoming and helpful. This is definitely home from home. It deserves more then an overnight stay.

Wow, where do I start? What a wonderful experience! The perfect little stop over! if you're looking for an authentic Karoo farm stay, genuine peace and quiet, and a sky full of stars, it's perfect. Dot’s cottage is well equipped, with everything one may need for self-catering. The room is cosy with good quality linen. Candles in the bathroom and...

This is the 3rd year that we stayed over at this beautiful farm. Once again it was a absolute overwhelming experience. The freshly baked bread and the home made butter as a highlight, as is the friendly staff. This is a great African experience.

Great Hospitality even though Marlize wasn't there. The best crisp sheets and beds on our trip of the Karoo. Loved the farm bread and butter. The green grass and beautiful Celtis trees were welcoming in the heat of the day.

We stayed in the 1830 Cottage and wished we had cancelled the rest of our trip just so that we could stay here longer. It was a balm to our travel-weary souls and possibly one of the best self-catering places we have ever stayed in. It is uber-comfortable, calming and beautiful. Thanks to Dalene and Charmaine for every aspect of...

Arriving at this incredibly beautiful farm, I knew that we were going to love our time there. My daughter and I stayed in the delightful Dot's cottage.. elegantly restored with all the rooms so beautifully appointed...luxurious linen, comfy sofa, vases of lavender and rosemary, cosy fireplace, well equipped kitchen, made our stay so special. Not to mention the delicious farm...

We spent 4 glorious days at Langfontein in the 1830 cottage. Langfontein is in a completely different league. The cottage, with its 3 feet thick walls and wooden floors, is beautifully decorated, the linen is of very high quality and the beds are extremely comfortable. The surroundings are breathtaking. Our kids loved every minute. The famous farm bread is fantastic....

This is a beautiful Karoo farm situated among the majestic Camdeboo mountains. We stayed for 3 nights in the 1830 cottage situated 60m from the main farm house in the well kept gardens. The cottage is roomy, stylishly furnished and well equipped. Bedding and linen is superb. We enjoyed sitting on the stoep reading and bird watching whilst making our...

This must be one of the most beautiful farms in the Graaff-Reinet area. It is worth the drive into the Camdeboo. We stayed in the 1830 Cottage on Langfontein where the friendly hen and rooster enjoyed breakfast with us every morning on the stoep overlooking the garden. Each room has its own bathroom. The beds are extremely comfortable - it...

We stayed in the Dot's cottage for 3 nights in March. This is a wonderful, cosy cottage on a beautiful farm. Johanna's home baked bread was a very delicious treat on our arrival at the cottage. We enjoyed the peace and quite in the evenings as well as going running and cycling in the mornings. The abundance of wild animals...
