What a fantastic experience! All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to cater to your every need. Malcolm our guide had excellent knowledge on the area, vegetation and animals, with a real passion for conservation. Veronica at reception, sorry if we got your name wrong, was also outstanding! Despite not having the big five this was one of...

Game lodge in a beautiful setting between Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn. The main building and lodges are of high quality standards. Each lodge has an outside fireplace and a "braai" which is very nice and the fridge is stuffed with cold drinks. There is a small outdoor pool with a fence to keep little children out. The restaurant provides a...

This was our second visit to Nyaru, the previous one was in December 2012. We were saddened to hear of the poaching of Sir Fabian their lovely Rhino last year, and also the passing of the previous owner who was so enthusiastic and passionate about Nyaru. We had a pleasant greeting and were shown to our villa, previously we had...

We had our wedding at Nyaru and it could not have been more perfect!!! Elizna and Pierre just took care of EVERYTHING. We had a spit for dinner but asked for something a little more formal. The food was presented beautifully! It was absolutely delicious. The whole weekend was a great success with every single person there telling us they...

Unfortunately, we spent only one day/night in this fabulous Lodge. It's absolutely recommendable. We did a quad safari which is an adventurous experience. The direct contact to animals like a young giraffe (Ayane), the cute meerkat Raffiki and the two bushpigs Ben & Babs are just unforgettable. Not to forget the very nice and friendly staff. We would even give...

This lodge is really very nice. The welcome glass of juice and the friendly polite staff once again on our South African journey commend this country in my eyes. The young tame orphaned giraffe also came close enough inviting us to pet her. Her 2 short fat warthog friends are delightfully cheeky wandering about the place with a commanding ease!...

Our son got engaged and we celebrated at Nyaru. Great place and people. Highlight was 6 of us each on a quad bike doing a game drive; not something we can do in England. Seen loads of animals and they obviously know the bikes so they simply continued grazing. Our guide was Hein, a brilliant host, he knows his plants,...

We arrived at the lodge after 15:00 on a Sunday afternoon. After check-in we enquired about a late light lunch, which was no problem. Very tasty and fresh chicken salad. The chalet is rustic and compact, yet comfortable. The two warthogs and giraffe were a real treat! The staff were helpful and attentive, and breakfast was tasty. The quad bike...

Beautiful location, marvellous accommodation, great food, and the staff are OK ! Only kidding the staff are wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We went on quad a bike tour which was huge fun, made much better by the guide. The wildlife is not only varied and fascinating but at the lodge itself, interactive. The warthogs will surely,...

We really enjoyed our time at Nyaru Game Lodge. It's an easy place to find with their directions and easily accessible from the Garden Route. We were really in for a treat as they'd just received a new giraffe who was really friendly with people and actually got to feed her from our hands. We also got up close and...
