Highly recommanded! The staff is very helpful and professional. The room is nice, clean with comfirtable beds, a fridge and hot water. Internet is reliable, but have some data for a boost. The restaurant has nice food, and there is many nice restaurants are walking and safe distance from the hotel. From the top floor, you will have an amazing view of the Kilimanjaro!
We spent 2 nights at this hotel. We liked the huge, comfortable room, the view from the room to Kilimanjaro and the tropical garden. The staff is friendly their behavior professional. The meals of restaurant were delicious, good breakfast.
I stayed at the Parkview prior to and after my Kilimanjaro Trek. I had limited time to sightsee and go into town, but everything you need is onsite. It’s really a great place to stay: excellent staff - they are so accommodating. Nice pool and generally like an oasis in the middle of town. One huge plus was the on site restaurant: great local fare prepared by “the ladies”! Had just a great experience during my stay. Staffed with some of the most friendly and gracious people I’ve met in a long time - highly recommend!
We stayed at the Parkview before/after our Kili trekking and safari. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We appreciated the extra effort in getting our laundry done on short turnaround and for keeping our luggage safe during our excursions. The rooms were clean. The top deck has a great view of Kili. The onsite restaurant was good and had fair prices. The pool was inviting. The location was convenient. Many restaurants nearby. Half a block from the banks and market.
This place is great value for the price. This is my third stay here; it’s charming, quiet, nice pool and clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but in waking distance to restaurants and the city. Very friendly staff and I definitely come again. From the top floor there are great views of Kilimanjaro
There’s nothing but good things to say about this place! We had planned to stay for one night but because of the wonderful service we received at the reception , we decided to stay for one more night. The food is very good and has very friendly prices, the wifi was working quite well and the rooms were very clean, spacious and had hot water throughout . It’s a homey atmosphere. We shall definitely be returning!
Great experience from check in to check out. I liked that it was a secure hotel, clean and spacious rooms with a/c and hot water, a nice pool and pool area. The restaurant is basic but the food was very good. A long wait for it but it says that on the menu (a 45 min wait), so no surprises there. It was always served by cheerful staff who are very attentive. All of the staff I found to be most helpful and always smiling. I'll be back and would recommend the Parkview to others.
CONS: - Restaurant staff did not mask up when interacting with the guest! Time and time again I asked the young lady to pull her mask up off her chin and cover her nose and mouth. Other times, a mask wasn't even being worn. - English speaking and understanding is not at a level it should be for guest-facing staff. The front desk is in the best shape in terms of being able to communicate, but again, the restaurant is not staffed by people that can communicate well in English. - Room G2, and initially another room we had that was facing the parking lot were small, and in poor repair. - Service in the restaurant was spotty. Need to train staff a little better. - Our trekking company charged about 20% more than one could get going through sites such as Booking.com. Book any extra nights you need yourself. PROS: - Very good location. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. - Very nice property. The garden and swimming pool area are enjoyable to be in. - Ping-pong table & swimming pool are great diversions from the climbing matters. - Room #102 was very roomy, well apportioned, comfortable. - Staff surprised my wife for her birthday with a nice cake and birthday serenade! - Got a late checkout without difficulty to better accommodate our departure time. - Restaurant served good food at a fair price. - Nightly rate on Booking.com (and perhaps other similar sites) was very fair. If we received the same rate and rooms, we would come back to Parkview Inn and would endorse others to stay here, as well.…
Very good stay before going up and right after Kilimanjaro hike for one night each. Staff was super friendly, the rooms very clean and the restaurant has a good choice of meals for good prices. Only the wifi was a little bit spotty, but I was able to use it in the common areas well enough.
We stayed at the Parkview Hotel for two days prior and two days following our Kilimanjaro climb. We were very, very happy with the hotel and feel that it was great value and excellent service. The hotel is clean, safe, and comfortable. The staff are very kind and attentive, and ensured that we had a nice stay. The restaurant can quite a while for lunch and dinner service, but the food was excellent and the restaurant staff were very nice and hard working. The breakfast was quick and plentiful with lots of options of hot and cold food. The only critique is that the wifi signal in our room was very weak. Perhaps some rooms have better signal than others, but both rooms I stayed in had very weak signal. However, there was good wifi by the pool and restaurant areas.
