I booked several rooms in More Than A Drop as the leader of volunteering group visiting the HAI Kilimanjaro area. All of us, total of 20 persons, we were stunned by the professionalism of the staff (Mili, Gloria and all the others), always present with a smile, gentle and patient, ready to accommodate all our needs. Another surprise was the mouthwatering organic vegetarian handmade food prepared for us every single day under the supervision of Chef Angela, I dare to say haute cuisine style, since I have tasted a few in my lifetime. We also appreciated the clean, comfortable rooms and their tasteful local decoration. More Than A Drop is a serene and picturesque place where you can stay as long as your heart wishes. We also participated in the Kili Marathon along with some of the students of the school and our interaction with them strengthened our inner understanding and purpose in life. If you are planning to visit Moshi and the wider area, I would highly recommend having the experience of staying at More Than A Drop, a private heaven at the foot of Kilimanjaro mountain! We will definitely come back!

My boyfriend and I spent a weekend in Moshi at More than a drop and it’s amazing. Top-notch hospitality, a business with a great cause to support and empower local female community, home grown food for breakfast as dinner, sustainable living at its best.
The area is safe and quiet - that’s something you need when in Moshi, perfect distance away from the town’s hustle and bustle and yet easily accessible by walking.
Hibiscus juice, local coffee and home made guacamole in the morning is something I’m going to cherish in my memory until the next visit.

From the decoration of the hotel, the rooms, the staff ( thank you Neema and millie for your amazing service), the beautiful garden, the girls who study and the delicious food, we loved our stay at more than a drop.

We spent 4 days there during our honeymoon and are vey very happy with our stay.
The service is impeccable, rooms cozy and very clean and the food is delicious, they have a chef who cooks with fresh ingredients from the garden. We litterally had dinner there the four evenings 😋

We totally recommend it. The happy atmosphere with the girls staying there and studying for a year makes it also very special. ☺️

We stayed here for 2 nights with my sister, who was doing some work on a local social enterprise. Everything was great and at a very reasonable price. We ate in the restaurant and were served by a student from the school. She was clearly nervous, but the service was impeccable, Her English excellent and she was a credit to the trainers at the school. Breakfast was basic but tasty, and eggs to order done promptly. They organised a trip to a local coffee farmer, including a local lunch which was interesting and fun, and we now have a bag of beans that we saw prepared and roasted.
The room was clean and showers hot. This place is doing a great job training the girls, and is a lovely place to stay, you even get a view of Kilimanjaro at breakfast ....cloud permitting. Millie who runs the front of house was very welcoming, perfect English and very organised. We will stay here again if we are in Moshi, it’s a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of town!

This was our second stay at More Than A Drop and it was just as great as the first time, if not even better. We stayed for 9 nights and for 2 of these we were joined by my sister and her husband who also loved the place. The rooms are simply furnished but have everything you need. The terrace is a lovely place to have your meals or just relax with a coffee or G&T. We were lucky enough to see Kilimanjaro every morning as we ate breakfast. The breakfast includes lovely fruit juice and great coffee, as well as fresh fruit, granola and bread, rolls and jams. The dinner menu has expanded since last year and offers a nice variety of vegetarian food, served to a very high standard. But of course what really makes this place special is the staff and the students. Millie along with Glory, Hosianna and Neema have the place running like clockwork, they do a fantastic job, nothing is too much trouble. The students are lovely and do a great job considering they are still just learning. Everyone is just really friendly and helpful.
Having stayed here twice now it really feels like a second home and we look forward to returning again next year. Thank you all for a great stay.

We stayed at More Than A Drop B&B for 2 weeks and we loved every single minute of it. We were a volunteering group of 20 people visiting a nearby village to empower the children and women of the local community. Our experience in MTAD was amazing! Great facilities in a quiet area in Moshi. The surrounding nature and best views of Kilimanjaro mountain is the perfect place to relax. The scenery is picturesque, the garden and the rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. The stuff was always friendly, helpful and kind, with a big smile always in their faces, ready to fulfill all our needs. Most important is that the More Than a Drop is a training center, a hospitality school for young women from around villages, who drop out from schools. They are taught and trained for 2 years in hospitality skills and they can practice in the BnB and restaurant.
Our breakfast and dinner were delicious, organic, vegetarian hand-made with love and care by the women and the Chef Angela. I have travelled a lot around the world and this food was an experience! Don't miss to taste the vegetarian hambuger and the amazing ravioli with spinach and tomato sauce.
I need to thank the owner, the stuff and all the girls for their hospitality, kindness, patience and willingness to make our accommodation unforgetable.
I highly recomend this place and I look forward to return again.

I stayed at More Than a Drop with my family (two adults and two kids) in June 2022. This facility is a hospitality school for underprivileged local girls. They are trained in culinary arts, housekeeping, front desk skills and English. They operate a hotel, a restaurant, and offer tour planning services, we enjoyed all three. The hotel rooms are small, intended for two people, clean and comfortable. There was no air conditioning, but we didn't need it, as there were fans and it was very comfortable. There is a very clean bathroom at the end of the hall that is shared by four rooms. Access to the restroom was never an issue for us. Breakfast is included in the room rate and includes fruit, yogurt, eggs, avocado toast, juice and coffee. The restaurant is open to the public in the evening and offers a delicious array of international vegetarian offerings. The best part about the whole place is talking to the girls who are there for a year to learn the hospitality industry. They enjoy practicing English and the whole experience is so heartwarming. They helped us plan a local excursion to a Chaga tribe with a visit to a waterfall, lunch and a coffee presentation. They also helped us plan a safari, which we enjoyed very much. During the safari, we stayed at lodges that employ graduates from More Than a Drop. I highly recommend the entire experience!

We loved our stay here! Our flight arrived very late (2 am) at night and More Than A Drop had everything set and ready for us to sleep despite the late arrival. We stayed in a room with a private bathroom. The entire place was spotless and the staff were beyond kind. One day after breakfast all of the girls who were in school there came out to let us sample the various items they had prepared in the kitchen, a real treat. Staff were always helpful and smiling. I was thankful for the extra blankets as it could get chilly at night with the rain. The location is perfect - far enough away from downtown Moshi to be quiet and peaceful but downtown was also within walking distance (if you don't mind a half hour walk). If a half hour walk is too long, it is very easy to hail a TukTuk from the road near More Than A Drop. The restaurant was fantastic, easily the best food we had in Tanzania.

We stayed at More Than A Drop for 5 weeks in January and February 2020. During this time we worked as trainers at a primary school. So we needed a comfortable room with enough space to keep our materials and to do our preparations. The spacy room nr. 4 (Kili) and the neighbouring lounge were perfect for this long-term stay.
The owners (Gianluigi and Nicola) and the whole staff always have been very friendly and helpful. If we had special needs or wishes, they fulfilled them reliably and at once.
Breakfast and diner always were tasty.
So we felt very fine during the whole stay.
All the best for the team and the project!

Ulla and Gerd Brodde from Germany

I stayed at More Than A Drop for one night prior to my Kilimanjaro hike. It's a nice place with friendly people, and a wonderful mission to empore local women. Millie took care of everything starting from my booking (just email them) to making sure that I had everything I could possibly need during my stay. I would absolutely recommend staying here while you're in Moshi.
