From December 'till end of March Ang'ata Migration Camp is located in Ndutu area close to migration route with a view on Lake Ndutu. Wildlife is abundant in this season as the Wildebeest migration settles here for a few months to graze and breed before returning north, deep into the Serengeti. They are joined by numerous Zebra, Elands, Hartebeests, Impala, and of course their predators, Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs that roam the area throughout the season. We can organise nature walks accompanied by an armed Ranger around Lake Ndutu or to a nearby Maasai Boma as here, in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you are in the most authentic part of the Maasai country. From July to October Ang'ata Migration Camp moves to the northern Serengeti at Bologonja, in the vicinity of Mara River. Only 50 min drive to witness the famous Wildebeest crossing.

A wonderful place to stay amongst wildebeest herds. The accommodation was top class with an ensuite so no roughing it. Great food was served for the 3 course dinner and made to order breakfast But best of all were the smiling, friendly and helpful staff

Finally the heart of the savannah. Very green in this little rainy season! No civilization around and yet a camp is there to welcome us with the service of a palace! Our aunt, equipped with a shower and toilets, was decorated with wild flowers for our honeymoon... A feat! The incredible logistics given the location make it possible to prepare traditional meals on site. The Maasai Rangers stoke the campfire at sunset and watch over our safety at all times. The lion roams! The only indication: avoid the impeccable lingerie service, the humidity at altitude does not allow the laundry to dry in 24 hours. Special note for the more than friendly staff. đź’ž

We booked this overnight stay through a travel agency and didn't really know what to expect. But of the 6 different locations, this was our favorite, including our children's.
It is “Glamping” but with a feeling that best suits a safari: close to nature. You hear the animals around the tent in the evening. Lions, monkeys and wake up with birdsong.
The sunrise is spectacular and when you wake up, the impalas and gazelle are grazing in front of the door
The tents are fully enclosed, clean, with their own toilet and shower and comfortable beds. It feels very safe. There is electricity for lighting. Charging equipment must be done in the lounge.
To us, this felt like the best location for a safari: very pure.
Kelvin and his team are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and it is a wonderful place to recover from a safari day.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Ang’ata Ndutu Migration Camp for our honeymoon and it was such a treat. We were so close to the action that we could actually hear the lions talking to each other at night, we heard wildebeest and cape buffalo passing through camp, and we saw giraffes grazing mere meters from “Bush TV.” Our tent was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, and it felt like such a luxury to have a hot bucket shower flush toilet, and proper sink in our tent to use after long game drives. The food was excellent and I so appreciated how well the gentlemen who run the camp accommodated my dietary restrictions - both at camp and in our lunchboxes. This is truly a special place and we felt very safe and comfortable in the hands of the Ang’ata Ndutu Migration Camp team. I highly recommend this camp as a great home base whilst in the Serengeti.

Don't confuse this with the angata lodge neat the Ngorongoro Conservation Area gate. This camp is another 2.5 hr drive into the Ndutu Plains during our December visit. It will move during the July-Aug dry season. Its a tented camp run on solar energy. Hot water for shower needs to be arranged prior and the tap water isn't treated. At night you can hear the hyenas very clearly. But it's efficient, warm and customer centric operations make guests really welcome. It also makes us very aware of how large our modern footprint is when humans try to live in the bush. An amazing experience not to be missed.

This is a really nice camp with excellent food and staff. I wish I could have stayed longer. Each tent/room has a large, beautiful bed canopied with netting and an adjoining bathroom. Just schedule your shower with one of the staff and plenty of hot water is quickly available. Dining was fun and elegant and sometimes included some singing and dancing! We could hear lions roar as we fell asleep at night, yet we always felt totally safe with the staff looking out for us.

We were three couples on a safari in the ndutu lake delta valley to watch the wildebeast migration. The camp was the perfect place to make a home base and go on excursions daily The camp was well run, clean and best that you can hope for in the middle of a jungle. For example they will heat your water for shower…

This was my first experience staying at a luxury tent camp. It was amazing. We saw animals close by and could hear lions roaring during the night.
The food was fantastic. I felt as if I was at a 5 star restaurant.
Our tent was fantastic with a wonderful bathroom that included a large shower and private toilet area with a large private dressing area. The view was wonderful and in the morning we saw balloons carrying people passing overhead.

We stayed at the camp with friends for two nights and had a fantastic stay. The tents are very comfortably furnished. After a long day on safari, you can look forward to a hot camping shower. We ended the evening with bush TV and a very good meal. Sleeping with the tent open and the sounds of the animals is indescribable. The staff made us feel like we were visiting our family and it was hard to say goodbye. We would go back anytime.

Warmth and safety
Our review is for the Migration Camp Bologna, where we stayed two nights.
We flew to Kogatende on a small plane, which we can recommend to everyone, and were picked up there by our guide and driven to the camp. This is also the only drawback of the camp, it is about 2 hours drive away from Kogatende and about 2.5 hours from Mara river.
The camp itself has few tents that are very well equipped. We were greeted by the team with a lot of warmth, a welcome drink and got the introduction to the camp. In the dark, you may only travel with company, which we have very gladly taken advantage of. You have radios in your tent for this. The food was very good and was served. For breakfast we always got a catering box, as we were very early to experience the river crossing of the many wildebeest and zebras. Whatever we were granted.
We can recommend the camp to anyone.
Many thanks to the team around Peter!
