This lodge has an interesting incredible location on the rim of the crater. The structure and layout is very well done and the ambience and interior decor is beautiful. Beautiful rooms with crater view and stunning bathrooms. Roses all over. Friendly and very profess staff, and Ana big menus and food.

This lodge is absolutely wonderful, great views, great food, lovely rooms. The staff are absolutely fantastic, nothing too much for them. We had snacks whilst watching the Masai Dancing, brilliant. Highlight was lunch in the Crater, it was pouring down, but the logistics were so, that you wouldn't notice it. The Game Rangers were very knowledgeable, especially impressed with the...

This is a beautiful lodge with lovely views across the crater. We sat and had a drink as the sun went down and relaxed after a full days safari. The rooms are comfortable, the food is good and the service excellent.

Hi Teresa. The rooms don't have air conditioning, however the design and style compensate for the diverse climate you may experience at the lodge. In the colder winter evenings the room is warmed by a log fire which is serviced by the butler all day. The beds have electric warmers so on return you find the beds warm and very comfortable. The bathrooms have eco heaters installed so the room is pretty comfortable throughout the nights. Warmer summer days you have ample window space with large doors opening onto a wooden veranda allowing for a comfortable cool breeze to sweep through the rooms.

We were there in February so unfortunately I do not know what the weather will be like in August. February was fairly hot, but that it is because it is Africa's summer then. What I can tell you is that the floor of the crater is usually hotter than the rim. And the lodge is beautiful. We did go to Botswana and Zimbabwe in August and it was still hot then but the nights were cooler. Sorry I could not be of more help, but enjoy your trip!
