this is an amazing place. Food is very good ,but of course you come here to enjoy the view over the crater.
Every room is remarkebly decorated . It is very surrealistic ;like a dream to have all this luxury in the middle of nothing.
Just stay here. Don't think about the cost, think about the fun and indulgence (100 long stem roses by your bath?!). We stayed two nights and it was a great start to our Serengeti adventure. Other reviews have let the cat out of the bag...More
What a great way to send a 18 day safari! We felt right at home from the minute we arrived. Our little house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was chilly and rainy, so I enjoyed a few long, hot baths. After a few...More

We were there in February so unfortunately I do not know what the weather will be like in August. February was fairly hot, but that it is because it is Africa's summer then. What I can tell you is that the floor of the crater is usually hotter than the rim. And the lodge is beautiful. We did go to Botswana and Zimbabwe in August and it was still hot then but the nights were cooler. Sorry I could not be of more help, but enjoy your trip!
