Our room was on the bottom floor of a two-story building. The sun room was amazing. Excellent view of the setting sun. Looks out over the crater. It was about a 30 minute drive down to the crater floor for the game drive. We took a boxed picnic lunch with us so we could spend the entire day on the...

We have a really nice stay at the Sopa lodge, the place have a nice central building with the reception desk, coffee place, bar, and dinning. Also a nice terrace with swimming pool where you can see an awesome view to the Ngorongoro crater. We where able to see a female Waterbuck (a beautiful type of antelope) drinking water from...

Very nice place in a great location. What I loved most was the staff: if you need anything just ask mr. Abel or Mr. Goodluck! In one second you have whatever you can desire! Rooms very big, comfortable and even you feel spoiled when it's cold and you find an hot water bottle in your bed.

We stayed 2 nights while viewing the crater. We arrived at dusk so ended up with a room a long way from the reception and restaurant area and without a view of the crater. Rocking chairs at the windows were strange and not that comfortable if you wanted to sit and read. Wifi was atrocious and then only in main...

We stayed at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for 2 nights while visiting the Ngorongoro crater. We were happy to arrive after the drive from Serengeti NP on some very poorly maintained roads. The welcome was most welcome indeed. The rooms are a bit dated and plain but comfortable and have everything you need. The main lodge area is great, interesting...

This was the highlight of the trip. As against our expectations Sopa was even better than Serena. The views though not that magnificent, was exceptionally great. The rooms were very spacious and services were extra ordinary. The break fast and dinner was amazingly prepared to suit all the tastes. and their detailed preparations were very visible. they even provided hot...

Most amazing view while you sit on a steamer chair sipping your drink! If you are lucky you see an thunderstorm building up on the far end of the crater. Make sure to check out the breathtaking "Selfie Spot" near the pool. The staff is not only friendly but truly sincere in their efforts. One of the best service experiences...

We stayed here for one night during our 3-day safari in the area. Great service, good and varied food, and large, comfortable bedrooms. The swimming pool was nice but too cold for most of us by the time we arrived around 5 pm. The lodge is high up and cold at night. The rooms are nice, but some are quite...

We stayed only one night here, but it was delightful. It was Christmas night, so the lodge had gone to the trouble of a cocktail and canapé hour before dinner, which was a lovely touch! The views over the Crater are stunning, particularly at sunrise and sunset, and having a pool to swim in is a real boone after a...
