Hot water was turned off from 8pm until 5am. I tried to take a shower at 7:45pm and again at 5:30am. There was no hot water either time. The restaurant staff was very attentive. I would have rated higher but the front desk women was cold and arrogant.

Was there with my wife and daughter. Everything is ok. No wifi in rooms. Hot water only at certain times. No electricity after 12 midnight to 5 in the morning. There is a torch. If you are in distress or in an emergency you have to run to the reception, which is far away and if it is after 12... More

We stayed at the Sopa Lodge for one night during our 6-night safari. We got there late at almost 7 PM and we left at 6 AM the next day, so we did not really spend much time here other than literally to sleep. It was our honeymoon and they had put out a cute tray with chocolates, fruit, and... More

Sopa Lodge was a good one to finish on as its proper hotel luxury. Food, service, accommodation all excellent. Worth noting that it is quite chilly at night. The views of sunset over the Ngorongoro crater are amazing. Drinks are quite pricey.

The lodge is high up and gets pretty cold so the place hot water bottles in your bed when you are out for dinner, this was a delightful surprise. The grounds are not fenced so the wildlife gets right up to the rooms, the discourage guests from traveling the paths alone at night, but seeing and hearing the animals right... More

A hotel situated in a picturesque place which lacks the facilities of a television in the room, no wifi or a telephone in an emergency. The rooms are well proportioned and the staff very friendly. Drinks are in the exorbitant price range and not recommended to be purchase unless your wallet id great

There are no words to describe the view from this lodge and the experience in reaching here - magical. I read that it is situated at the highest point of the crater and is the highest up accommodation - well worth the extra 40 mins drive there as our driver informed us. The lodge was very tastefully decorated and with... More

Incredible service and gorgeous views. Despite a buffet menu the food was good. They have hot water at limited specific times but the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The monkeys in the adjacent woods are an added bonus The sunset view is spectacular

Lovely welcome form all the staff at the Sopa Lodge, views take your breath away on arrival. The rooms were almost too large for the two of us and the turn down service was great; came back to hot water bottles in the bed, lovely surprise! The food selection was great, again, the service at dinner was 10/10. On one... More

Excellent stay. My room was overlooking the crater, gorgeous view! The lounge/restaurant is beautiful. Food was excellent. Service was great. The room had very comfortable beds, they had a turn-down service, laundry service. The buffet was delicious, many options to choose from. Very lovely stay.
