Ngorongoro crater is a world heritage site and it is an unforgettable experience. The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge has a wow factor situated on the crater rim 2000 feet above the floor of the crater. On entering the lodge you look through a picture window to a view across the crater – truly spectacular! This lodge has wings of cottage style...

This was the last stop for the group of clients I led on a safari through Tanzania. It was a great way to end our journey. Located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the views are breathtaking. The rooms where we stayed were connected to other units but they had the feel or having our own little "huts". My...

We stayed for 2 nights at the very end of a Safari, and having just come from two other lodges (including another Sopa), I'm afraid this lodge came in third place. Our room was very spacious, but it just felt dirty and the bedding was really poor quality. The service in both the hotel and the restaurant was good, but...

My husband and I stayed at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for one night in February. The lobby, dining room, and bar are all beautiful and all have amazing views of the crater. We really enjoyed sitting out by the pool and watching the sunset over the crater with a glass of wine. Recommendation: If you want to get an outdoor...

This hotel has a large entry area with a bar and restaurant and huge patio with pool and a beautiful view of the Ngorongoro Crater. The rooms were spacious with a small enclosed patio with two rocking chairs and a table. Hot water is only available at certain times (I think it was 5-8 am and 5-8 pm) but was...

Although March is not possibly the best time to visit Ngorongoro Crayer due to rain, Sopa lodge is ideal and the staff went out of their way to make pur stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Enjoyed a spectacular sunset on our first night. It rained a lot during the night and woke to a misty morning. Enjoyed Crater...

We stayed here at the beginning of March for 2 nights. Our room was excellently located on the 2nd floor close to the reception area. I liked the rocking chairs on the enclosed balcony and view of the crater. Even though it was by our standards warm in the evening we had hot water bottles in our beds! There was...

Large clean rooms, nice swimming pool, nice seating area in front of the main building above the pool with a fantastic view. The restaurant was a buffet with a large selection - the food was good but not very good. This hotel relies on its superb location. The staff were friendly.

The lodge has a lot to offer. The rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. The lobby and restaurant is amazing. The view of the crater is exceptional. The lodge is located on the north end of the crater (which is a long drive from the main entrance to the crater) and is a very short drive to one...
