Ngorongoro Crater is one of natures most amazing places in Tanzania. The crater is 21km * 19km and was told is the Serengeti & Masai Mara in a small format. The probability of seeing a kill is very high and it makes the journey in the crater a memorable one. The lodge is basic and comfortable. The breakfast is very...

this lodge was booked via my safari company Base Camp Tanzania. When we arrived, there was no electricity. They only have that on from 5pm to midnight and then from 5am to 9am. Generator only. It was a bit chilly in the hotel and outside yet there was no heat available. We froze in our room as there were no...

Upon check in the hotel greeted us with warm towells to wipe off. A very nice touch that was common at our hotels on our limited safari. Check in was easy, but our room reaked of smoke and we returned immediately for a change. They were quick to relocate us and the view, well, how does it get better?! A...

Wow - amazing place to stay for the views. The rooms are standard but the common areas are beautiful. Wonderful fireplace and very large balcony facing the crater. The buffet dinner was nice too. Very nice staff

Having read the varied reviews before going we weren't expecting a great experience. However, not only does the hotel have a stunning view but our room shared it. The room was clean and the bathroom facilities were good. This was once a Government run hotel and is being improved by current owners so I'd rely on more recent reviews of...

Located on top of the crater wall, it offers fantastic views from the bedrooms an large balcony that sourrounds the dinind and lounge areas. Its a very large hotel, that was probably built in the seventies, with very tall walls, and lots of decorations. Its very cold in there since you are high up the mountains, but what also seemed...

Great hotel with the best views in the world. Each room has a glass window the full height & width of the room looking down on the crater. Good food.

This lodge overall was absolutely lovely! Most of the lodges in Tanzania are in stunning locations obviously due to the geography and most have grand entrances and lobby areas. The bar/lounge area is very comfortable with a fireplace for the cooler months. For anyone who is into photography it's worth getting up early for the sunrises here! The terrace runs...
