This was my favorite place in Tanzania - well ... the most unusual and really completely different place. Everyone comes on safari to see and appreciate all the amazing wildlife - and we hope to be able to understand some of the culture and meet some of the people. That being said - you arrive at this camp after a...

My husband, myself and another couple went on an 8 day safari when we were in Tanzania in September 2013. We stayed in a more luxury tented camp, a lodge, a more rustic tented camp and Kisima Ngeda which was our favourite. You do not go there for the wildlife. It is at the end of a long, rough and...

A different setting here on Lake Eyasi. Peaceful and jungle-like, we shared the area with many monkeys. (Velvet). A gorgeous property, unexpected after the dry, dusty approach. A hidden gem! An elegant pool and lovely seating area from which to gaze at the lake, with it's waterfowl. The open areas for dining and lounging were comfortable, except for the bats...

This was the smallest of the 4 camps we stayed at on the 8 day Good Earth Safari that my daughter and I took, but she said it was her favorite and I can see why. Because it was small it seemed like we got very personal service and that service was second to none. We were treated like royalty....

We visited there with 4 kids on September , If You u would like to see not only safari this is indeed a place to be, They are close to some tribes(hadzabi) that are remote from any western life, very very interesting and not to be missed. The road to the camp remind you that you are really in Africa,...

Being at the Kisima Ngeda with three teenagers was a real treat. The service is great, the staff is hospitable and friendly, the meals are surprisingly good, and the tents are comfortable. The owner, Chris is very attentive and we all had a great time there.

Bright African Safari (Great Safari Co) arranged for us to stay at Kismangeda Tented Camp - what an absolutely gorgeous place and great value. The Tents are spacious and comfortable with a fully equipped bathroom - the grounds were very natural with a beautiful pool and paths to wander at your leasure. Nani (the owner) and her husband made sure...

We happened on this when we were the only visitors and had a fantastic time. The added bonus of being able to walk away from camp a little and explore the surrounds, the nice pool, and the comfortable but not over-done tents made it an idyllic spot. Not the most luxurious of our safari, but an excellent experience none-the-less!

We drove from the crater to Kisima, which is a dusty, bumpy trip but did give an interesting view of Tanzania outside of the game reserves. The camp itself is lovely. Tents are very comfortable, with hot palm-frond-fired showers. The food is good, the site is interesting, with great walking around Lake Eyasi and through the fringing bush. Plenty of...

We toured a number of places in Tanzania in July, 2013. Kisima Ngeda was one of the most relaxing and fun places during our three week safari. We were there for three nights. One of the reasons we wanted to go to the Lake Eyasi area was to visit the Wahadzabi hunter-gatherers, the Datoga tribe and the Maasai villages. We...
