Thante Hotel has both pros and cons. Whether you would enjoy your stay, depends on what is important to you. Pros: By far, the reason to stay here is the lovely garden pool. Grounds and flowers are lovely. Front porches to the rooms are very pleasant. Very centrally located to e-bike rentals, restaurants, bottle store, etc. Next door to wonderful...

As so many others have said, the hotel is in dire need of investment. So much is good, the size of the rooms, the layout of the hotel and indeed the pool area. The staff are also very accommodating. However everything has a very riun down feel and the bathrooms in particular are in serious need of updating.

Went for a swim here whilst staying near by and the pool area was really nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Not sure what the rooms are like but it looked fine from what I saw :)

If you are staying in Nyaung-U, then the Thante Hotel is a green oasis in the busy, little centre. All the staff could not have been more helpful, sorting out all our requests (a room with a view of the pool, last minute taxi to the sunset, getting lost on our way back from" Restaurant Street") with patience and efficiency....

We spent three nights here recently and enjoyed our stay. Reception is very stylish and you get a welcome drink on arrival, the hotel is on a large site with bungalows spread around a pool area. The bungalows have seen better days and could do with a lick of paint but they are large, the beds comfortable and have a...

This is a nice three star hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the bed is comfortable, and there is plenty of hot water. Breakfast has a decent selection and is pretty tasty. The rooms are tired and need updating, and housekeeping could be improved. The tub and sink were not wiped down the whole time I was there...

Bagan is dusty and busy this hotel offers a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle. Our cabin was clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delicious, the pool offers a place to cool off. There is 2 restaurants on site and both serve a great meal there is also a bakery next door. The staff are very helpful and lovely....

If you value your sleep don't stay here. There's a monastery next door and the chanting is loud and pretty much constant. The rooms are in need of renovation and cleaning is irregular. The staff are okay and do what you request willingly but you shouldn't have to ask that the dusting be done in your room.

Good value for money when a lot of the hotels in Bagan are overpriced. The pool is really nice and the set up with bungalows and nice garden is very enjoyable. Rooms look a bit old but are clean. Thumbs up to the staff who was really helpful and friendly.

We really liked this mid-level hotel. They and big rooms, nice garden and a great breakfast. Let us check in at 3am after bus ride from Inle at no extra charge. Also rented e bikes from the. And booked mount popa tour thru them.
