This is a great hotel. We paid for 2 stars service and got 5 stars quality. Wonderful staff. All of them were very friendly and attentive. Always try their best for helping people. Room is clean, tidy and enough needed facilities.
Really good place to stay, Staff was very friendly and helpful. They made it easy for us to find a lot of information on what to do and see around Bagan.
The rooms were nice and clean, and with free breakfast included.

In my opinion I would personally fly from Chiang Mai to Mandalay and from there get someone to assist you in taking you to the sites around Mandalay, and then perhaps take a bus down to Nyaung U and from there you will be able to check out Old Bagan and surrounding viewpoints. I've literally just done the same thing and it is a huge journey from Chiang Mai to Mandalay if you're not flying. Hope this helps and enjoy!
