The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the garden room and it was relaxing. I like the shower room as water pressure is strong. The bed is soft and we got good night sleep. We tried breakfast, in suite dining and Samira. All the food we ordered were delicious and serving quite big.

Hotel's Favourite
If you are looking for a quiet, luxurious, romantic getaway in Tagaytay, away from the crowds then THIS is the resort for you. Few people also means safer during this pandemic. It is more expensive but its worth every cent. Its not perfect, there were some minor lapses like bath towels were missing from the bathroom but rectified immediately and coffee we ordered took an hour (they did not charge us for it as a result). Keep in mind the resort is running at half capacity due to the pandemic. The internet was fast and the garden villa wonderful. However the VERY BEST thing in this resort is the food. EVERYTHING is spectacular. I mean - EVERYTHING. Even their bread basket the bread is freshly baked. Pizza, pasta, burger, steak, lamb, breakfast, salads, even the club sandwich is to die for. If you are looking for a safe place to get away during the pandemic - go here. We stayed for three days two nights and it was heavenly. Thank you Anya! We will be back.

I will start by saying we stayed at Anya for 2 nights, free of charge, courtesy of a member. We booked a Garden Suite and a Veranda Suite. They are almost exactly the same except the Garden has a tiny outdoor garden while Veranda has a balcony. I’ve stayed at a Junior Suite before and I actually prefer that because I find the layout better and cozier. These suites have too many doors which are quite heavy and too many sinks. Anya is fairly new, but needs a lot of repairs. In the Garden Suite, a window was broken, the closet door was jammed and bathroom door was stuck. In our room, the water pressure came in waves, the hot water wasn’t hot enough and there was a slug in the shower. The rooms were also very very noisy. You could hear neighbors banging their doors and people’s footsteps, which troubled me because I had an 8 month old with me. The weather wasn’t cooperative so we played table tennis and badminton indoors. I found it weird that the library and books needed sanitizing, but not the other activities. We also went to the spa, which was great, but obviously an afterthought as it is just converted from one of the rooms. I found the staff very very helpful, kind and courteous, which is what luxury is all about, but they are lacking in behind the scenes service. For example, our neighbor’s room service plates were left outside for 2 whole days and was already filled with flies before someone took it. Our umbrella (hotel’s) kept disappearing. I also asked for water refill and they only gave me 1 bottle when there were 2 when we arrived. Still, I want to say a special thank you to Colin and Via for going out of their way to assist us. It was very nice that they helped me prepare a very touching birthday surprise in the room for my husband which he loved. Our stay included an afternoon tea which was literally 2 kinds of tea, using tea bags and some chocolate. I was just a bit surprised because afternoon tea usually includes sandwiches and scones, cakes, etc. They should just call it tea, rather than afternoon tea. The food at Samira is a bit pricey, but good. They also didn’t charge us for the extra hot drinks we had during breakfast, but they did charge P200/meal for my 8 month old daughter! I don’t mind, but it’s the first place that has charged me. We also went to the other SLH and they prepared it free of charge. The food wasn’t even soft enough and they served practically the same thing for all meals, that it was my husband who ended up eating most of it. My baby is pretty adventurous when it comes to food, so I just wished they had more initiative and creativity. I was also baffled that they told us there’s a dress code for dinner, which meant no shorts and tees, so we dressed up, but while eating, we saw a group in shorts, tees and slippers. So what exactly is it? I was also very very annoyed that when we arrived for breakfast, the waiter told us to sit at a particular table, then when the next group arrived, he sat them at the table next to us. The restaurant was still empty at that point and my baby isn’t vaccinated so it freaked me out that they wanted to sit us so close together. We ended up moving tables. Overall, we had a great time, but I’m not sure I would return any time soon or pay P70,000 for the 4 of us if we were to pay for it ourselves. But I am grateful for the relaxing stay, nice rooms and a chance to bond with my family.

This is our second time at Anya and also my second time to review. Our experience were pretty much the same except this time there is a pandemic. It is our family's first time to go out ever since the pandemic started so we decided to stay in our favorite place, Anya. As usual it did not dissapoint. The check in and check out process were made easier as you don't need to go to the lobby or as they call it the living room. They still have lots of activities such as movie night, etc. Their heated pool is still heavenly. The staff still very approachable especially Eugene. We were dissapointed by the lack of buffet breakfast but understandable because of Covid-19. We will definitely be back. Thank you Anya for the happy experience during the pandemic. You made my son really happy.

Everything about the place was heavenly. Cellular signal was weak so it mattered that their internet was weak but everything else was great. Will definitely come back again. The staff are very courteous, the rooms were nice and roomy, the bed is so comfortable, sheets were comfortable, pillows were comfortable, the check in and check out was a breeze. no waiting in the lobby with everyone - u do it in your own room and settle eveything there too.
