It's a reasonable old hotel but the rooms are ok, nothing fancy despite the photo shown. Location is excellent, especially on Saturday nights when there's the weekly Saturday market at the old city wall. The old city with city pillar, nightmarket and Samila Beach with the golden mermaid are all within walking distance (although the normal nightmarket is about 20...

The place was ok, I'm not fancy but air conditioner, cleaning and private toilet is essential, the beds were ok, and the service really friendly, location just spectacular, walking distances from the beach and the weekend market ends on the hotel door, I will come back!

The rooms are seriously worn, but it was clean and the airco worked. We had a great view from the window of the hill with the pagoda on top. At 400 baht I think it was good value. Next door there's another hotel which looks slightly better on the outside. You may want to check that one out too.

What to say about this place... It's tired and worn, doesn't have the highest standards of cleanliness, and its hallways resemble a mental ward. However, at 380 baht for a double with airconditioning and hot shower it offers better value than any of the other nearby guesthouses. The mattresses are super comfortable and, unlike the rest of the room, fitted...

I paid 380 bht for room with a/c and bathroom. You can get a room without a window for 300bht. All rooms have air conditioning. It is not far from the beaches and the museum, and local bus drops you off about 50m away. There are towels, soap and TV provided. No English speaking channels. The shower has two shower...

“Choose a room away from the street, but you can close the windows in the room and the one in the hall way to cut some of the road noise down. The road noise is not too loud.”
