Great place, the owner is very friendly, the place is located near downtown, comfortable and clean. In the price for the room is included the breakfast, good Mexican breakfast. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, very safe area, there are several supoermarkets very close the hostel R+++ for them!

Careful with the address, we have been looking forit and reviewed it on google maps however it is at the other end of the village. Does not have a bad location, and taxis are very cheap (20 pesos -1,5 usd) to come around. There is no beach to go swimming, however the village itself is nice to spend one day....

We were the first to stay in the new building on the other side of town. The old building is hard to find and the new one is better if you have a map of town. A very nice welcome and very reasonable price (as agreed on the internet with the owner, and we stayed in lots) with all you...

I should be rating this 5 / 5, but I thinks it's slightly overpriced for mexican standards and the location (130 pesos in jan 2012 - no other hostels in town explains the price). The owner is great, the common area is nice and you meet some nice people there, the beds are not great but no bed bugs. Nice...

The lady who runs this hostel is so sweet. She speaks some English, which can be helpful when you are struggling to learn Spanish. We arrived late at night which was no problem. We had a private room which was basic but clean and comfy. It had a balcony and fan. Shared bathroom was also kept clean. For a very...

I arrived quite late and the owner received me with warmness and a smile. She speaks some English for those who don't know Spanish well. Her price was very fair and on a weeknight I was the only one in a dorm for 8. The beds looked kind of gross but who cares, after so many hours of traveling? I...

Bathroom had no locks for a 8 bed co-ed dorm. The women that owns it is super nice. Use of a roomy kitchen is a plus. Hostel in general and mattresses in general carry a strong sweat-stained odor. Poorly ventilated rooms could use AC or additional fans. This hostel will be hard to sleep in for someone who is sensitive...

We really enjoyed our stay in Chetumal Hostel, the staff was very friendly and they take effort in personal wellbeing, clean rooms and good cooking facilities. Chetumal has quite a few beautyfull sights. Paul can recommend some of the sights and even offer personal tours for a very fair price! Paul we wish you all the best with the upcoming...
