Very clean and spacious rooms that are reasonably priced! Staff was very welcoming, helpful and attentive. It is situated close to many restaurants, shopping and the museum. Safe parking in the back. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here one night on our way back to Cancun. Not sure what other hotels are like in Chetumal however we would not rush back here and struggle to agree with those that rate it excellent (where else have they stayed). Hotel is located on a main street however most rooms appear to overlook the rear and the pool. Our...

So we just retired to Belize and decided to take a Spring Break vacation to Chetumal. We stayed at the Capital Plaza and after not knowing much Spanish Carlos Saenz who works the front desk at night spoke very good English. We asked him everything from A to Z about Chetumal and does he know it all!!! From restaurants to...

Capital Plaza Hotel is a modern property located right at the heart of the city of Chetumal. Close to the bus station/collectivos, public market and the Mayan Cultural Museum. Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless and very comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant, but there is great street food across the street at the market and also several...

A modern hotel, well maintained. Our room was freshly decorated and everything worked correctly. Hooray for individual bedside lamps. Centrally located although we were too travel weary to venture out for dinner. But the evening meal here was of a high standard and the choice extensive. My tuna was cooked as requested and came with potatoes and excellent al dente...

We only stayed in Chetumal for one night before crossing into Belize. We arrived in Chetumal on an ADO bus. The taxi from the bus station to the hotel is 20-25 pesos (the driver initially wanted 100 pesos but a local intervened). Check in at the hotel was very easy. We were there on a Sunday and the hotel seemed...

The normal hotel I book for my stay in Chetumal was full so tried new hotel. The hotel was clean and well decorated, centrally located to the downtown retail shops. The front desk staff spoke perfect English and were courteous and very helpful. The restaurant located in a beautiful courtyard had great food and service!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Capital Plaza from December 30th, 2016-January 3rd, 2017. Considering it's on the main Street in the Centro, it was easy to find. We walked up to the receptionist, located in a really nice lobby area. Most of the time there are two receptionists which ensures you're attended to faster. We had booked from probably...
