It was really cosy, mmm. Nice location but a pool could've done the thing. Honestly , that was kinda the gap: no pool. Still worth a shot anyhow. The little non-lux makes it "homeyish". Really nice place to stay at. Honestly. Have it a go. It's cool.

Nice clean hotel for 499 pesos includes free internet, breakfast and parking for your car in a secure off street area. I am travelling alone and wanted to make sure I was in a safe clean place. As I did not have a reservation, just happened on this place. Would not stay here more than a day but ok if you need a place enroute to Belize.

Well, for someone that is used to staying in Holiday Inn Expresses around the world, this place is really a dump. For someone with low standards, looking for a place to sleep and a cheap hotel rate this may do. At first glance, the lobby looks pretty decent. The hallways even look OK but then you get in the room and its pretty third world run down. Furniture is about as worn out as I've ever seen in a hotel. Door leading into the room has to be about as challenging to break into as having no door at all.
The air conditoning worked well and the mattress gets a C for comfort. The water in the shower takes about 15 minutes to warm up and I had room on the first floor.
If your on a budget and don't mind a run down dumpy hotel room, this is a good choice.....but I am used to a significant step up. This makes most hotel 6 and 8's look good. Never again....

Hotel is at Avenida Alvaro Obregon #168, which is the street you will enter Chetumal on from the west. It is 1 1/2 blocks east of the main street, Avenida Heroes, and it is 3 blocks from Chetumal Bay. We stayed here on 3/25/07 for 459 Pesos including tax. Came through as $41.72 on my credit card. They do accept credit cards with no surcharge. Breakfast was not included. There is free instant coffee in the lobby at all hours. We ate breakfast at 24-hour El Fenicio restaurant a block north on Av. Heroes. Hotel website is all in Spanish. We wrote a Spanish email to reserve room on Saturday - got Spanish email confirmation on Tuesday. We did not need to give a credit card to hold room, but call them if you will arrive after your stated arrival time. No Internet at hotel. We found fast speed Internet for about $1 USD/hour at Web Center, on Av. Efrain Aguilar just west of Av. Heroes (a block north of Los Cocos Hotel). Enclosed parking lot was provided next to our hotel. There was no elevator, and no rooms on the first floor. Hotel was bright and clean. Room had TV, phone, good A/C, but no room safe box. We would stay here again. We are happy to be the first review for this hotel, and would recommend it to all.

Just an overnight hotel, fairly clean, fairly friendly and fairly good breakfast, off the next day into Belize which had much lower hotel-standards and was very unsafe compared to Yucatan!

We have stayed at Caribe Princess before and in different type of rooms. The location is very good and taxis available at any time. Lobby is nice and they had this continental breakfast included which is not bad, is just a little something to begin the day.
The rate is not bad at all, is definetely for a budget place compare to other hotels in the area but is not definetely a bargain.
The rooms. The ones located on the third floor are the one that has been renovated and look much better than the one located in second or fist floor.
The main issue here is maintenance, they need to have touches of paint, fixing in bathrooms, the shower curtain holder keep falling down if you pulled to strongly the shower curtain, not to mention it takes some time for the hot water to come.
In the bathroom you do not have decent size towels, there is only a couple of them to get dry, average medium size.
The matress are too firm, not very comfortable actually and the quality of the linen is just very average, and not enough pillows, not to mention they are not even goose down, but some polyester material that got totally flat and not very comfortable.
I mostly go there for one night and do a late check in, so I just want to go to bed and enjoy a nice sleepy night, which for the reasons above mention have not been possible.
I really hope they can work out this issues they have a lot of potential.

We stayed for one night on the way to San Pedro.

No hot water and the curtains don't close properly (they're held partially closed by a peg)!

Room is definitely in need of a touch up too.

On the other hand, the AC works well, the wifi is fine and the bed is comfy enough.

Perfectly okay for a quick stop off if just passing through, otherwise avoid.

I had planned to stay 14 days in this hotel, but already checked out after a few days. I asked for a quiet room, but they put me in the same corner as 6 people who were on an alcohol rehabilitation scheme.....and were completely drunk. Staff failed to keep them quiet in the middle of the night. They then put me in another room, which was very old....and above a garage...the view was such that you had to close the curtains (old paint on the window, view directly in another room).

The problem with this hotel is that it is cheap...hence lots of young people who get drunk. If you can afford, go somewhere else. We went to hotel Noor. Nice hotel....but with poor breakfast.

We booked by phone with Caribe Princess and they requested a booking by email and didn't require a credit card to reserve our room. Clean comfortable rooms with A/C, TV and hot shower. Free internet in the lobby for guests .Complimentary coffee in the morning served in the lobby. Two good restaurants nearby. One a family restaurant wtih excellent breakfast (we didn't try them for dinner). Across the street is an evening open air bar/restuarant called Cactus Grill. We stayed on our first night of our trip and the night prior to our return flight. We would stay again. It was in a very quiet area of town only three blocks from the ocean.
