This review is for the tour company that is run out of the hotel. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our experience. My husband and I do not speak Spanish well, a fact that was known upon booking. Instead of providing us with a knowledgeable guide, we were driven around Chiapas for 3 days in a small airport taxi with...

If you get a high discount, for example through some booking website, and you have to stay one night.. Maybe you can do it. Anyway the building is old and gloomy, the first impression when the elevator's door open brings you directly into a ghost movie. Everything here is old and falling into pieces. Air conduct in bathroom are connected...

So I was spending one night in Tuxtla before heading back to Mexico city and then home. Since I was traveling with a business friend and not my wife, standards where not as high and we look for a cheap place. Under 50$ was our goal, again this was just a spend the night and head to airport kind of...

What bugged me the most about this hotel was that it was considered a 5 star hotel and it was a 2.5 star if that. The lobby is beautiful but when you get to your room you see it is not the what it's trying to promote. I mean it was clean and it had the basics so it's not...

We had made reservations directly with the hotel. When we arrived they had no rooms available and the folks at the reception desk could not have cared less. When someone claiming to be the manager came to talk with us, it was the same "who cares" attitude. Only saw the lobby and parking garage, but if they were indicative of...

The entrance to the hotel is not on the main street, but from the side street where "Scotiabank" is. Very close to the centre. My room was on the top floor (5th) and had a great view of the city and the hills. Don't worry, if your room is facing the wrong side, go up to the 5th floor and...

I stayed here with my boyfriend for three nights. I would not have minded the hotel so much if they had not advertised it as a top end hotel. Our (outdated, must admit) copy of the lonely planet ranked this in the top end section, so we were expecting a very nice hotel, for a good price, and right in...

I spent two nights in Tuxtla Gutierrez and and for the money, I could not have asked for more in a place to stay. Although the hotel could use a little sprucing up, it was immaculately clean. Because I was only staying a couple of nights en route to Mexico City, it was not really important for it to be...
