I felt I was bullied here by Antonio. He made rude and disparaging comments about me and my surfing my entire trip. I'm not sure if it was because of my ethnicity or for some other reason, but I felt uncomfortable my entire stay because of his comments. Everything else was fine except for the crude behavior of Antonio. I...

Was just reading the other reviews and it made me smile a bit.. Old German dudes were aloof and crotchety :) Heh Thomas, how is possible that somebody could not read your lovely stylish profesionalizmus and interpret it correctly? We stayed in the Camp for 18 days with a friend of mine and I would stay there much longer without...

The camp is situated at the end of Cabarete town and is like an oasis of peace inside the busy town. It feels a bit like being in the countriside but yet everything is close by. There are several types of accomodation, including the most basic types with shared bathroom to the nices appartment with terrace and kitchen inside. You...

Una baina bien! Been to Cabarete 3 times so far & stayed here twice with very similar experiences. My friends & I were teaching in the DR so we were always on a budget- and I just called ahead and agreed on a price I knew was reasonable since my Dominican friends work in Cabarete. Didn't screw around w online...

I often travel to the Dominican Republic however; each time I visit I’m looking for something new to experience. This time I decided to take some surf classes in Cabarete. I can’t say that I know what the hotel looks like or what it provides because I commuted to the surf camp every morning. I can say the people giving...

Touristtrap. Don't go there! We have had booked two weeks in the "Colonial Room" but left after one week already. The walls are as thin as paper and you here everything from your neighbours. You don't live on second floor as stated on their homepage because only the first floor is done. Second floor belongs to the 7-8 dogs that...

We sayed in the jungle house/tree house and all four beds were most comfortable. The house had some charming touches and decor; it was far from a cold, sterile hotel room. We had simple housecleaning ( swept out the sand, brought fresh towels). Pretty surroundings and off the noisy main road but walking distance to beach.

Had a wonderful stay over there. The beach is amazing, the are surf and wind surf vans going to the special points every time. The food is incredible, please, ask for the steak and the bbq ribs. The included breakfast isn't amazing, just some bread with butter and a juice, but it's good if you are going to surf until...

I stayed in a bungalow for 3 nights and loved it. I was traveling alone but met up with new friends when dining at Aly's Restaurant, as part of the included dinner. The bungalow was bare bones and just what I needed. Full size bed, fan, private bathroom with hot shower, safe, and a bug net. The surf camp is...

It is exactly what it says - a surfcamp - not a 5 star hotel. I was looking for accommodations that were relatively inexpensive yet clean, quiet and comfortable. This place fit the bill! I had a bungalow which is very rustic but clean and comfortable. There were 2 twin beds, a private bathroom with hot shower and commode, a...
